They would have been better off just making their own mvc site with articles and links to podcasts and figured out the message bored setup later. That site looks awful. This site is a lot like amazon. Just clean and simple and not trying too hard which is what people want.bananasnblondes said:A huge part of their disappearance is also probably due to the failure of their BDTW brand. They pimped the hell out of launching that site (twice? 3 times?) and I imagine the entire process has probably been pretty embarrassing for Coker because it was clearly his baby and had some pretty grand delusions about its success.
Much as we like to bash it it's probably the easiest I've used -
Speaking of Coker and DDY and Vanilla, their Twatter brand is so boring and bland compared to what they had here back in the 2015- 16 TSIO salad days.

My last communications with Coker were via PM trying to locate the Rose bowl tailgate.insinceredawg said:
I definitely think that was the turning point. Coker basically vanished from this site shortly after the Rose Bowl and DDY's presence gradually faded after that too.Meek said:I still don't get why they left. No idea how they could have lasted as long as they did and then finally get offended after 5+ years. Did it have to do with them saying they were putting up their own site and then when it didn't happen around Rose Bowl time the (expected) jokes about it made them sad? That's the only thing I can think of.
He said Dennis was there so I kept looking for a gay black man in a sea of white nerds, which explains why I missed it my first pass through. -
The tailgate was harder to find than I thought. I missed it twice (their sign was too small). Wasn't till I spotted @UW_Doog_Bot in sweat pants grilling the bacon wrapped dogs that I new I was in the right place.Doogles said:

I didn't even know about the website until @PurpleBaze told me privately. I remember Crow a little, being a big MST3K fan myself. This seems like hurt feelers or something, but I really don't care enough to pick sides.

Coker seemed like a nice guy who was a little too nice for this site and all the keyboard warriors and nihilism. It made sense that he branched out a little.

Best of luck finding a wheelchair accessible iron foundry.YellowSnow said:
I think DDY does have a lot of irons in the fire in real life.Emoterman said:
This theory is all well and good except DDY isn't even active on Twitter, just occasional repartee with Coker and emojis/gifs. You have to wonder what his outlet is for his manic periods.UW_Doog_Bot said:Weird to me all around. Those guys are also the reason found HH and am here shitpoasting. Maybe they just feel that Twitter is the better platform for their soapbox. Maybe there's some home stuff with Coker and his teen boi addiction or maybe the reputation and being associated with this site as the 4chan of husky football.
*shrug, life goes on for another 11 years or less if the Corona gets us all. -
Coker had a dream, pursued it and ran into difficulties. Kudos to him for trying. I miss him and Dennis here. They gave a lot, including their hosted tailgate. Anyone who didn't appreciate those two and their contributions to HH needs to LEAVE.bananasnblondes said:A huge part of their disappearance is also probably due to the failure of their BDTW brand. I had a long text thread with Dennis yesterday, much of it relating to Kyler Manu and Bob Gregory. Dennis does have lots of irons in the fire. On a positive note, there's a better chance of him returning than reuniting with Styx. -
I loved their Podcasts -- I mean who else could take 5 minutes of information and stretch into a 1.5 hour show for bored dudes?
