He has to wait.
I'm not excited about this move but anyone who thought firings were coming today or this week was setting themselves up for disappointment. -
Thankfully we're likely going to get one of those shitty bowls that takes place well before the New Year, so we won't have to wait too long.
-
Agreed.DoogDawg said:Jimmy literally can't fire anyone till after the bowl game since he's not the head coach until then. You really think Pete wants his last move as head coach to be firing guys he's known for twenty years? Calm down.
Plus, we need to current staff to stay in tact until after signing day to keep the current class in tact through signing day.
Reading between the lines, Jimmy's comments about being "aggressive" on offense and punting on the the coaching staff question indicates pretty heavily that he's going to be firing some coaches.

Good points made by everybody.
The most interesting part of the press conference was when asked about the difference between himself and Pete, Jimmy talked about "the focus on the X's and O's and football strategy." I understand Pete viewed coaching as more than just football, and building men, but dude... Your first job is as a football coach. Had strategy to, you know, actually winning games taken that much of a backseat? I know it seemed like it from the outside, but that's a pretty damning quote. -
Let’s win our bowl game first and then move on to the public executions

Too late. After Damone and I exposed Goebbels aka OBK and his white hot hatred for Latinos, I declared by re-switch in allegiance and now hate Oregon as much as OBK hates brown folk, which is a lot of hate I might add.RaceBannon said:

Sign me up for a seat on the Jimmy Train.
The Cane love is constant and unwaivering; can't be helped and is completely congruent with Husky fandom. -
Well, rash firings can be overrated.dnc said:Pete's still the boss, there's just no way Lake can come in now and start making changes without looking completely disrespectful to Pete.

Again, I point you all toward Manuel Francisco Diaz. An actually good D coordinator who brings a lot of flash and saucy personality, he fired every fucking body right away.
And, here we? are at 6-6 with another loss to Duke. Duke. -
Jimmy is giving the guys who are fired an opportunity to land somewhere else.
They know who's they are. Jimmy's first order is keeping the class intact. He already is in full recruiting mode. -
Maybe Jimmy wants to keep the staff classy, so in tact works. Did you ever think about that? Well, did you?DoogCourics said:

No wonder Mrs @DoogCourics is leaving you for @Doog_de_Jour . No imagination or outside the box creativity.
SWIDT?

Pay attention to what is going on ...
Lake is focusing on visiting with offensive recruits ...
He’s taking Huff with him ...
Huff makes sense when going to Ferndale ...
Makes a little less sense when considering wide range of positions in California ... and once again it is Huff going with Jimmy
Then ask yourself why?
