Part of the reason we lost is because of gaps in recruiting years ago. Hth
We did not lose to fucking Cal because of recruiting...
Its fucking Cal, not Ohio State or Alabama
UW has a massive talent advantage and If Pete needs "more bullets" to beat fucking Cal than he isnt the guy.
I'd give Pete somewhat of a pass on this. I know one loss in college football is much worse than any other sport, but that game was just strange in general. You had a 2 1/2 hour weather delay that basically sucked the life out of the stadium. The clock management at the end was laughable, he did the same crap against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, and that notorious home game against Oregon (26-20 loss) as well. I know I'm throwing out the doog agenda (circumstances, young team, etc.) But given it being a late start with all the crap added to it, I'd suck it up and move on.

Petersen needs to look in the mirror. Some of us have been saying this for years.
Cal had attitude. Petersen's team didn't. He neuters his team. He's molding men into US Embassy diplomats.
I want to see players talking shit out there. The only one is Ngata. I'm sure he'll be benched soon enough, or have a come-to-Jesus meeting to tone it down.
Receivers should have pulled in favor of Spiker, Osborne, & Puka. I don't give a shit if they haven't gotten as many practice reps. Maybe they could have balled out and made plays. Rely on their athleticism and instinct.
The offense still has no rhythm and identity. Ahmed carries twice, Newton once, McGrew twice, etc. No one gets a chance to get into rhythm.
Luciano comes in and false starts on a crucial down, forcing a FG decision. I mean why the fuck was he even in there?
Jake Sirmon comes in for one play and it should have been a handoff. Ends up being an easy sack for Cal.
This is all on the coaches. The system is more complicated than anything on the chalkboard at NASA in the 50's & 60's.

We lost because our players were weak-minded and our coaches did not have a winning gameplan
Until you get those 85 blue chips its always wait until two years from now

The narrative that this had anything at all to do with recruiting is so incredibly FS it’s nit even worth addressing.
It’s self parody at this point.
How the hell did the dawgs not offer? White guy...check.. 3 star.....check....shit offers.....check.
He literally fits the model of Gregory recruits......Had Evan been from Texas or Idaho he gets an offer!!!
Imagine THAT!
