At the time, this bored would have gone absolutely nuts if we had lost Amandre to the Ducks or something and had to settle for Weaver. AGREE, but I think we're missing the point that @GOAT is making here. Yes, by TBS metrics we are way move talented than CAL overall. But due to 'crooting misses in the 2016 and 17 cycles, where either (a) thin or (b) very young in some key spots. It's difficult for even good teams and coaches not to drop 1 or 2 games a year to inferior teams (Urbs, Dabo and Saban have all done so in most years). Stockpiling talent year in year out should help reduce the risk of losing these types of games when the coaching staff calls a shitty game.Houhusky said:
