Good thing I'm not either. However I'm able to max my 401k, max my IRA (can't do Roth), go on a week long vacation every year (this year cruise to Belize), and get a new car every 3 years. So I guess I'm not poor and whiney. Just lazy.
You can do a Roth. You’re just top fucking stupid to figure it out.

And if you really owned a company (S corp or LLC) you wouldn’t worry about a 401k max because you’d a have defined benefit plan that has a limit three times a 401k. But you’re a dumbshit and don’t know this, which leads me to believe you don’t own a business. Dipshit.

    You’re poor and whiney.
I do own a business in Montana. But that's my side gig, it's a tax write off, not income producing directly to me.

My main job I have a 401k. And yes when I become an owner, the limits change. I do put into a Roth 401k through work. I am not able to do a Roth outside of work.

But you sound angry mike. Why be angry. We are just getting along.
You can do a Roth but are too stupid to figure out the Roth. Got it.

If you’re owner in you “side gig” then you can do a defined benefit plan. You need a better accountant. Dumb shit.

LOL at having a w2 job at a place you don’t own. Hondo is big time! No wonder he’s a leftist.
Trash talk because I don't have a retirement plan through my side gig? El oh el Mike. Why so angry?
Regardless of your side gig, you could do a Roth, dumbass. Also my yes if your side gig is real, you’d fund retirement through it rather than the limits of your employer (LOL) 401k. You likely don’t have enough money though.
That is very true, I don't have enough money to fund more retirement. I should. But I spend it. I also have investments in a couple tech companies thru the IRS section 1202 exclusion.

Also, look up the rules on the Roth.
I know the rules on a Roth very well. Tell me why you can’t contribute.

Also, your not maxing out your retirement like you tried to suggest you were as some kind of well to do earner. You’re not and you’re a lying sack of shit.
I contribute the max I can thru my employer. I don't max out all my opportunities.

And if you know the rules on Roth. Then you should know why I can't contribute.

There are people I know who are my age who make more money than I make, some make less but they have little to no money saved for their retirement. Many of these people have been on fabulous family vacations, and many of them drive really nice cars, far nicer than any car I've owned, yet they've saved next to nothing for their retirement years.

Why the fuck should I have to pay more in SS taxes so that I can subsidize these people? I've intentionally never purchased a new car. Every car I've owned I've driven for at least 10 years, some of them longer. I had a 4Runner that finally had to get rid of that I had for 20 years, as a family we haven't done the weeks long vacation to Hawaii or Europe because it's too damn expensive to take a family of 5 on that kind of vacation and I'd rather put that money toward my retirement and the kids college.

So why is it that people like me, who have done without and saved are going to punished in order to subsidize the people who didn't save? Fuck that and fuck Bernie.

Chinned cause we're 4 Runner Bros!! I've got a 2006 (4th Gen) with only 90K on it. That fucker's gonna go, at least, another 10 years.

Don't see that many 20 to 30 year old Jeeps out on the road now do ya @Swaye ?

You dick. No tonly did you lambast Jeeps, which is sacrilege, but you hit me with the @ and then I got 23 notifications for this thread. Dick.
Me thinks you've prolly put a bomb or two up the tail pipe of a towel head Toyota or two. But it's classified I'm sure.

I used to call JDAM's YotaBusters.

If Bernie were just about tax fairness, I might support him. But he's not. He envisions a world that I want no part of, where stupid people who make bad decisions get repeatedly bailed out by the responsible people who suck it up and go to work everyday. If he wants to debate marginal tax rates and modifications to the IRS code that hides actual income as passive income, etc., I'm all in. But again, Bernie is all about feeding the FSA - Free Shit Army - and holding onto power forever like the Stalinist he is at heart.

That's the thing that really galls me. If someone is mentally ill, or physically unable to provide for themselves then I think that we should provide help for those people.

But how many people through their own shitty life choices now are asking for a handout? You chose to be a Fine Arts or Gender Studies major, good for you. But get your fucking hand out of my pocket because you feel you deserve to have your healthcare or college paid for by someone else. You chose to have kids out of wedlock and to abuse drugs and alcohol. Fuck you, You don't have a entitlement to my wealth.

Everyone on HH agrees with you here, Bob.

But they don't all have the guts to admit you're right.
    Bob’s right.

Profile in courage right here, y’all.

Hondo is the worst of at least two or three worlds. A lying moron with a really big mouth.

I have a Roth and I also 401K which I max out on each year. My only regret is that like most, I didn't start contributing to it earlier. Unlike Hondo, I don't think anyone else should be paying for my retirement or my healthcare and I save accordingly. Could I take the family on a two week vacation to Hawaii? Yeah, but I'm not going to do it. I'd rather use that money to invest, fix up my house and save for college for my 3 kids.

Hondo being the liberal piece of shit he is feels that I should pay more taxes so that I can subsidies parasites like him who want others to pay for his healthcare and retirement.

But he wanted to be a big shot acting like he exceeded the Roth income levels because he makes so much. Only to find out he lives beyond his means and doesn’t know how Roth’s work. Then he disappeared as usual.

I applaud Bernie for making some money.
I fully support him paying the lowest effective tax rate possible.
Low charitable giving is somewhat consistent with socialist ideals.

But when he as a socialist candidate for president throws the question "Why don't you voluntarily pay 52% on your income?" back on the interviewer like that, shows he's full of shit. It's his proposal, not hers. He is completely full of shit. And not a very good politician or socialist. Can you imagine the political win he'd have if he voluntarily paid at the 52% rate. But he doesn't want to. Because that's his money. What a fucknut.

Yet H still can't see it.
I can't believe Bernie's not better prepared for this.

He's almost as dumb as those asking why people favoring higher taxes don't just pay more.

(My charitable giving is more generous too. Maybe I'll throw my hat in the ring.)
If he were smart he’d voluntarily pay the tax he is proposing, give 10% to charity and tell his critics to go fuck themselves. I’d think the cost would be more than worth it if he really wants to be president and get such transformative polices though. But he doesn’t and won’t. Because he’s a dumb shit and when the rubber means the road it’s socialism for thee, but not for me. Bumbling old fool.

That first sentence is either ignorance or a lie from you. Yes a Roth is income limited, after a certain income, you can't put anything into a Roth IRA. I also just found out that they changed the rules on traditional IRA. I'm still trying to figure it out, so I'm glad we had this discussion. Apparently, if you have a retirement plan at work, a traditional IRA deduction gets phased out as well. I haven't gone back to my 17 return to check it and I haven't filed 18 yet.

And I chuckle at "he disappears a usual". Lol it was Friday night shitdick.

You need to live a little Bob. The more you leave behind for the grandkids the more blow they do.

Do them a favor and take them to Disneyland land. Fairy dust now or angel dust later is the same price.
I want the last check I write to bounce.
