You guys are fucking stupid. Both of these new offers are really talented. This kid is 5'11-6'0 with 4.4 speed in high school. He's aggressive and physical and attacks the ball. Top corner prospect for Utah who do a fantastic job finding these under the radar guys with NFL talent. What are you bitching about? Again, late offers doesn't mean guys suck! It also doesn't mean guys who were offered earlier are more talented than them.
Whether or not they're good isn't really the point. It would be one thing if we had been hiding these guys all year, recruiting them and getting them ready to visit in January. But no we're just offering guys who are available because we're desperate.
Process > Results
This is literally the dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen. It's about the results over the process you idiot. I don't care how you get them or when you get them. Just get the best players you can that have NFL talent. That's it. That's the game. From there it's about coaching and developing better than your competition. Utah and UW are pretty damn good at evaluating and developing DB talent so obviously these kids are good and would be good takes.
And we're not desperate. We already singed three quality DB's. Every single one of them were top guys the rest of the conference wanted that UW beat out to get. We'd be fine just taking those guys in this class and being done. We don't need to reach for guys at all. But Jimmy doesn't sleep and wants to take as many DBs as UW is losing to maintain a deep depth chart of talent. Cool, fine with me.
Good process leads to replicable results. Replicable results are preferable to "oh well it worked out in the short term let's not worry about the future".
Late offers and finding guys who continued to get better and better throughout their high school careers is a huge part of the process. The process is ongoing all the way through to the final Signing Day. This isn't throwing out offers to less talented, project guys and hoping they work out. This is finding NFL talent late in the process that you like as much or better than others you have already offered earlier in the process. Anything is replicable if you're good at evaluating talent. We can get guys like Joe Tryon or Mosiah Nasili-Liu every single recruiting cycle by offering them late. There's always top-flight talent out there that is overlooked every single cycle. Continuing to evaluate talent all the way through the process instead of being stuck on guys that were on the radar early is the process. Trust the process.
I want you to be right even though you come across like a spoiled bitch who can't handle disagreement, but it doesn't help when you use bad examples to illustrate points. Nasili-Liu just redshirted and Tryon has one sack and a handful of tackles. Using them as examples of stellar prospects who got late offers is premature.
So @StrongArmCobra all these guys are better than Noa Pola-Gates and he’s just an overrated 4 star who the coaches could easily get but these guys are all better?
Most likely better, yes. Do you see any big boys going after Pola-Gates anymore? He's going to Nebraska.
And Henry is going to Tennessee for the same reason cuz Bama filled up. Does that make him suck? No we just didn’t stop recruiting him and guess what? He’s still choosing Tennessee over UDUB. Big boys don’t win recruiting battles if they don’t put in the work.
This is like 4 threads now where you’re getting your shit pushed in. Give up.
What's your fucking point? You're all over the fucking place bitching about random shit. Henry To'oto'o's recruitment does not at all equate to the recruitment of Pola-Gates. There's no similarities there at all.

No it's not. Both clearly have the physical talent and intangibles we want. That's all that matters from a recruiting standpoint. How they perform on the field as their careers move forward falls under coaching and development.

I want to agree with Cobra too, but he loves every player UW is trying to get.
It is premature, but I’m pretty sure Tryon is good. It’s also stupid to pretend like a late offer means anything at all.
Some have been bad offers have had no impact like Devin Burleson. Some have been good like Tryon.

Pola-Gates was passed on by Bama a long time ago. Bama has been slow playing To'oto'o but him going to Tennessee has more to do with Tosh leaving than Bama passing on him. To'oto'o has far better options than Pola-Gates does. Nebraska is a far step down from the options To'oto'o has. If UW wanted Pola-Gates,they would have kept recruiting him. It's that simple.

Yes, I was not a big fan of them offering Jay'Veon Sunday this early in the process for 2020. But I'm okay with it if and only if they're taking two running backs in 2020 and they need to add a power back who can bring some more physicality and tackle breaking to the otherwise pussy ass, shrivel dick offense we've had the past couple years.

Jimmy Lake only offers guys he thinks have NFL potential. Obviously he thinks they're good you idiot. Timing of offer doesn't mean shit. There are thousands of high school players all across the country. These coaches don't have time between coaching the players and studying their opponents during the season to scour the country for kids to recruit. Why was Noa offered an entire year before these kids then if these kids are better? That’s the only fucking premise I’m fucking arguing over. Not if these kids CAN be good. Being under the radar doesn't mean a player "isn't good" or isn't talented. Some guys don't do a lot of camps. Some don't market themselves. Some come from talent rich states like Texas or California where it's more difficult to stand out among a large talent pool especially if you don't do camps and self marketing. Some are later bloomers physically. Some just don't get the hype from the idiots doing the recruiting sites which does matter to extent because lesser coaching staffs than our do throw out offers like candy to anybody with 4-stars next to their name. Some live in remote locations. There are a lot of reasons why guys fly under the radar and don't get offered until later in the process. Doesn't mean they suck or are less talented. The proof is there every recruiting cycle. You choose to ignore it because you love high star rankings.
So @StrongArmCobra all these guys are better than Noa Pola-Gates and he’s just an overrated 4 star who the coaches could easily get but these guys are all better?

You act like these coaches know about every fucking prospect in the country from the very beginning of the recruiting cycle. News flash. They don't.
Why was Noa offered an entire year before these kids then if these kids are better? That’s the only fucking premise I’m fucking arguing over. Not if these kids CAN be good. You said we thought noa was good we’d recruit him over these guys. WHICH WE FUCKING DID A WHOLE YEAR IN ADVANCED. Husky Mosster how many NFL kids didn’t recruit until there was three weeks left of the cycle?
We flipped 3-star Sidney Jones from Utah very close to Signing Day.
Why was Noa offered earlier? Because he was on the coach's radar earlier. Simple as that. Then he fell off the board for whatever reason. They don't know every fucking recruit around the nation. They don't see everybody's film. There's another evaluation period after the season in which Senior seasons are evaluated and some new guys get on their radar. It's not that hard.
Pete just got hired like two weeks before and they had been recruited Sidney at Boise.
Why was Noa on their radar? Because he was good. Why weren’t these kids on anyone’s “radar”? Because they weren’t good. Just say that. That’s all you have to say.
They play for the best high school team in Texas. One of the top 5 high school teams nationally. Have multiple national recruits as teammates. I don’t care how many camps they haven’t done, you’re an idiot if you think they weren’t heavily recruited for a reason.
Nobody wins every single recruiting battle. Henry is enamored with the big stage and passion of SEC football. Nothing wrong with that. Can't get them all.
Me: “Alabama spots filled up for both Henry To’oto’o & Noa Pola-Gates”
You: “ There’s no similarities there at all”
Do you understand how hard it is to talk to someone like you?
Pola-Gates was passed on by Bama a long time ago. Bama has been slow playing To'oto'o but him going to Tennessee has more to do with Tosh leaving than Bama passing on him. To'oto'o has far better options than Pola-Gates does. Nebraska is a far step down from the options To'oto'o has. If UW wanted Pola-Gates,they would have kept recruiting him. It's that simple.
If UDUB thought these kids were good, they would’ve recruited them for a lot longer than three weeks before signing day it’s that simple.. You’re so stupid that you don’t understand everytime you flip flop, it’s proving your original point wrong. It’s that simple.
That's why kids go under the radar until late in the process when the season is over and the coaches have more time to evaluate Senior film. Who knows? None of us know how long these recent offers have been on UW's radar. Some make a big jump from their Junior year to their Senior year. Should UW ignore those guys because they don't have 4-stars next to their name? That would be stupid right.
So @StrongArmCobra all these guys are better than Noa Pola-Gates and he’s just an overrated 4 star who the coaches could easily get but these guys are all better?
Most likely better, yes. Do you see any big boys going after Pola-Gates anymore? He's going to Nebraska.
Are there any offers UW has made that you don't like and who are not going to be Barry Sanders 3.0?

Bandes: Grew a couple inches and improved his physical fitness. He was a far better prospect when he committed to UW than when he was first offered. UW got in on him early while the other big schools held off and it paid off for them.
Noa Ngalu: Like I said before, he fine. Elijah Qualls kind of guy. UW should not be only offering and getting Elijah Qualls type guys. If he was the top D-lineman in our class it would be a problem and everybody knows that. But with the additions of Paama and Tuitele this is a good pickup to add to the mix.
Nate Kalepo: Never had a problem with the offer. Don't know what you're talking about. Only problem I had was him being an attention whore after committing. I got him to shut it down. You're welcome.
MJ Ale: Yes, total project player. Boom or bust. Was not a fan of the offer. Nobody was.
I'm pretty sure Tryon is good too, but ballz emohatically using him as an example to illustrate the stupidity of the other side's argument is ballz fucking stupid given how little we've seen of him. Say "he looks like an example of one who will can out" or something along those lines. Don't throw fits and insult anyone who disagrees with your argument based on this unproven example.
As for Nasili-Liu, who the fuck knows? I love recruit highlight videos and the inexact hobby of projecting based in them, but come on ballz. You don't go to practices. You don't have private conversations with coaches or media oranyone else who has actually evaluated the kid versus big time competition. He's a fucking redshirt freshman. Stupid, stupid example.

I don't need to go to practices. Tryon is 6'5 270 lean and a freak athlete. He's a 5-star talent. If Coach K can develop at all he'll be a first round pick two years from now.
Mosiah is on the shorter side but at 6'1 290 he's also very athletic and quick twitch off the ball. He's naturally built strong with lean muscle mass. Works hard. High motor. Mid-round NFL talent.
This is a fucking recruiting discussion you idiot. Recruiting is about physical talent and the intangibles. Nothing else. I don't need those guys to be All-Conference players right now to make a fucking point. Both were late offers and both have the high end physical talent we want on this fucking roster for their respective positions. That's all that matters.
