I think last night was overall a positive for the left. Take the House, plus 6 in governors iirc and lots of progressive initiatives passed. You can claim victory in the senate if you want but the democrats ran a bunch of corporate schill wannabe republicans and got waxed, I’m not taking an L on that.
All that said if the Dems stick with Pelosi any gains are negated.

I disagree with your assessment that I’m viewing it as a moral victory. I’ve made it very clear that I would prefer republicans to win vs shitty democrats. The senate races were a bunch of blue dog democrats vs republicans. Look at this guy.

Sure in the house there are candidates I didn’t like that won and candidates that I just shrug my shoulders at and think “I guess they’re better than a republican”. I view the overall gains as a positive , having some say in the process for the left, but look at the last thing I said, if Pelosi remains in power ALL gains are negated (I like to put words in all caps to emphasize them, I like to do that). If this isn’t an actual victory, and who the leader of the House is will dictate that, then I’m saying it isn’t right now.
