I'm old enough to remember when calling the ACA 'Obamacare' was racist.

And yet you defend it every chance you get. It's Obama's only legacy, you have to

Stating facts is defending in Race's world.

    Fuck off

Exactly what I thought. I'm down for Rather being fired and Olberman is an asshat. Just wondering why the other side doesn't feel like they are held to the same standard. Or that the shit Alex Jones says it's ok but Olberman should be fired.
Alex Jones is an asshat too.

Doesn't mean he needs to get banned on youtube. Put the crazies out there to be exposed for what they are - asshats.
I always wonder why the left is afraid to let ideas rise and fall on their own merit.

    Actually, I don't wonder.
Are you serious? How’s universal healthcare being allowed to rise and fall on its own merit? “Extreme leftism!” With a 60% approval rating. “How are you going to pay for it!?” When even the Koch brothers can’t fund a study that shows it would cost more than our current system.

If you think this is a left problem and not an everyone problem you’re dumb as fuck.
Universal Healthcare did rise. A LOT. That is our current system. Thanks Obama!
Your employer must pay that bill for you if you're unaware.

Are we? done talking about oranges when the original conversation was about apples?

Free speech, and the de-platforming of ideas is being done unilaterally along stark political lines. If you cant's see that, than HondoFuckingStupid.

This is 1000% an everyone problem, because like usual, the left isn't paying attention to the "unintended" consequences the right saw coming from a country mile.

Or the consequences WERE intended, which we can't rule out either.

I don’t want to be a dick but it doesn’t seem like you know what universal healthcare is or what free speech means.
You and I both know the nomenclature Universal Healthcare encompasses a lot of things. It is what was promised with Obamacare - and we know how that turned out - which is my poont.

If you want it to mean some variant of the single-payer model, whereby the providers have to compete for the business, then sign me up. Until then, the current model is only going to cost more and more and more.

I seem to care more about actual free speech than those on the left who are so afraid of opposing views they would rather have their opposition silenced. So I think I have that covered.

But you're always welcome to show me the light.

    I'll wait, Richard.
This is cute coming from the guy that wants to ban people.
There is a difference. A big one.

WTF? This board is so fucking weird. Less than 10% of people are covered by Obamacare. How the fuck is that universal? My god.
The stated objective was that every person was covered.

    Maybe HondoFS can help you?

I’m using “means” in reference to definition, you’re using it in regards to value. Being willing to negotiate with something doesn’t mean you don’t know it’s value, it means you understand its value very well.

Free speech isn't a negotiation. It's a central pillar of American freedom. But I don't think they teach that in schools anymore.
It's depressingly obvious that you've never taken a basic Constitutional Law course. If you had, you'd know that just about every Constitutional right, including free speech, is restricted in one form or another.

It's pretty clear, actually, that you have no fucking clue what they teach in schools.
You're the sort of left wing fascist filth that's become a disease in the education system. You 'educators' are failing the students and churning out a generation of fucking Marxists who have no concept or respect for the 1st amendment and who want to use the tools of government & social media to clamp down on free expression like they've done in Europe.

Get the fuck out and go back to Germany you descendant of a Nazi pig.
Careful, you're jealousy of smert people is showing again.

And why are you so angry at other people? Look, I don't know how you responded in the religion pole, but you really should be furious at whatever God that made you so fucking retarded.
That's the best poast I've ever read on here.

    Bravo, sir. Bravo.

Universal, should mean for all. Obamacare was supposed to make sure ALL have health insurance. That obviously is/was a failure.

So I'm still waiting for your definition of Universal, but again that sounds like a sacred cow.

You could abdicate this convo to Hondo if it's too much for you. LMK

Obamacare was not intended to be universal health Care. Obama campaigned on universal health Care and pussed out and caved to the insurance lobby. So we ended up with that pile of shit that could never be universal health Care.

Yore* welcum to look it up. The vaxx threads are searchable.

Ummm ... I'm basically advocating the fundamentals of the same system you are. I just don't label it single-payer so the resident dolts can understand.

The suppliers need to compete for the business. Period.

The only way to drive down cost is a with a market based solution. As it sits, the system is set up to create a monopoly for the benefit of the supplier. This is the broke system HFS has been spamming the board for going on 3 years. Pissing down our backs and telling us its raining.

This is why his handlers need to pay @DerekJohnson for blowjobs in Thailand, or GTFO.

    I actually Hope this Helps.

So I'm still waiting for your definition of Universal, but again that sounds like a sacred cow.

You could abdicate this convo to Hondo if it's too much for you. LMK

Re: vax...I seem to recall you doing more than just asking questions. Are you abandoning your stance or just backpedaling while it’s convenient in this thread?

Obamacare is not Universal Healthcare. Norway, the UK and Canada have universal healthcare. But you seem more interested in playing semantics than discussing the actual merits of different systems.

So we agree that the current system is bad. I also think you understand that the current system is not universal healthcare or single payer or Medicare for all, etc. But before we continue, I want to make sure that’s correct.

    Sacred cows are sacred.
Sacred cow? You act as though I’m blindly supporting these things, when reality is you’ve demonstrated a lack of understanding and/or lack of proof against them. That’s on you.
On the vaxx issue, all I've ever done is ask questions. I'll never hear the end of it. Sacred cow.

Universal, should mean for all. Obamacare was supposed to make sure ALL have health insurance. That obviously is/was a failure.

    We agree.

However, I'm not defining Universal as 'single-payer' as you might define it. I'm defining it as 'everyone' has coverage.

Again, we can have a market based system that keeps costs down. You make the supplier compete to service those that might otherwise need care. You also give those needing care real options.

You also unveil the secrecy of pricing on the front-side of the conversation. It's not "come to me and fuck you"

HFS' advocacy is about maintaining an artificial monopoly. ECON 101, monopolies only benefit suppliers.

For further example about options, when you are in Asia and have something wrong you go to the pharmacy. You tell the pharmacist what your symptoms are and they give you the medicine you need. You don't insert a trip to the Doctor into the mix.

And the drugs you might need cost a fucking fraction - because people can see all their options up front as they stand their talking to the pharmacist.
