Who gives a fuck what the class ranking is? Other than the idiots on this board. Get promising recruits in positions of need and coach then up...hopefully they won't see the field until their RS-Sophomore year.

UW is never going to consistently finish Top 10 and it doesn't need to in order to compete.

If you are satisfied with PAC 12 titles and constantly getting outclassed in the college playoff then you are correct. But you aren't a serious natty contender without a top 10 class. You will not compete with the Alabama's, Ohio State's, and Clemson's of the world. Look no further than Eugene. Oregon played for two National Titles, and were physically destroyed in both. They almost lucked into a title against Auburn, but then got assaulted on live TV against Ohio State.

We had a solid run and made the fucking playoff with a bunch of borderline top 25 classes.

Our most recent class was #13ish (yeah ESPN is retarded) and everyone here was in hysterics with how good it was.

You fucking idiots are missing the point, like usual. UW has a big time uphill battle with the recruiting service rankings, and frankly we should be just fine with a bunch of classes similar to the 2018 class. Yeah maybe some classes are better, but some will be worse too. Until we win a fucking natty or have 5 years of NY6 bowls in a row that is going to be reality.

Getting players like Rapp, Gaskin, Sid Jones, Gaines, etc. doesnt boost the fucking class rankings, but those are elite players that this program needs to get. Pretty much the only position groups we need to get better at recruiting to win are on offense, OL and WR.

But by all means keep getting all worked up about the decisions of 16 and 17 year old kids. Dumbasses.

Why? And who will? USC, sure. Alabama as long as Saban is there (their average from 1990-2010 was 13th, FYI). Georgia? Ohio State? ND finished top 5 for 40 straight years and now average in the teens since 2010. Are we destined down this path, destined to destroy ourselves like so many programs before us? Or can we evolve fast enough to change ourselves... change our fate? Is the future truly set?
Holy shit the USC deference is built in with you guysm. Subconsciously you all run around with "USC is just better at life" in your fucking heads.

I was going off of average recruiting rankings from 1990-present. They never finished outside of the top 10. Not once. That was my point. Now run along and autist explode at someone else.
Look, it's clear I'm jealous. I wish USC really really respected my team.

This gets you Wisconsin success. I used to think like this (along with most of my Utah fan base) and could never figure out why we would start out 6-0, then finish 6-6. You can build a good team by coaching up 0-3 star recruits but you can't build a team that can withstand losing 6-10 starters in November. Case in point, remember that frosh you had playing on the RT side of the line when you played Alabama? One weak link and it's over.
True, but UW has been recruiting far better than UW over the past number of seasons. UW probably will never be able to breakthrough and win a NT with their 3 star talent. We? just might be able to stock pile enough 4 star guys to have a chance.
we'll also get a chance or two or three to pick up a "5* star* kid each year with sustained success. You hear this Pete!?

Bad fit kids. Go to Oregon.
I know you're being ironic but Seattle has a strong and diverse poly community.

Is not being worked up more than just stating a simple fact. You made the playoffs, but let's be honest, Washington was not competitive against Alabama. A team can run rough shot throughout the Pac 12 conference with top 25 recruiting classes, but it's not going to win the title without special talent.

You may not get a top 10 class, but you don't need one to win a natty. You need 5 consecutive classes of at least 10 4* recruits. I think you have two in a row so far.

    * You need 40 x 4 stars in progress + a big dick swinging, 1st round NFL type QB- e.g., Cam, Mariota or Watson. We signed 9 four stars in 2017 and 11 in 2018 so we are getting closer to the required metric.
Or a weak all over the place playoff field. Which can happen but isn't likely with current blue-bloods such as Ohio State and Alabama rolling.

It's the 2016 Clemson metric. Oregon had the QB in 2014 but wasn't a 40 four star kids "in progress" on the roster. I think Auburn in 2010 might have been a little shy of 40 four stars, but they had Cam and were playing Oregon who would have been well below 40 four stars.

Danny Shelton is from Hawaii and he loved it here. You don’t know shit.
I was told there were no safe spaces here. You seem to feel unsafe.

This is a sissy boy town. Everybody knows it.

And Shelton is a bust, so whatever.

For the record South Seattle is full of poly's and not the wine glass kind. Washington has the largest poly population(and densest) in the US besides the actual Island Communities and California. By all means, keep talking about how Ewgene is a mecca for diversity. I'm sure they have a saimin noodle shop adjacent to the Lane Transit Bus Hub or whatever.
Uhh Utah and Alaska have higher poly percentages than we? do per that link. But yes our Polypulation is higher than either of theirs are.
