For the record Gaskin outran Ahmed straight up when they raced.

You can claim "game speed" differences but as far as raw talent is concerned, Ahmed is no significant upgrade over Gaskin in the speed category. He's so far a downgrade as far as vision and reading the play. I think he can put that together as the full tim back, but maybe not.

Run game won't be the rock it has been but it also won't need to be with a qb that can throw downfield.

Gaskin was all tim. Ahmed won't need to be to see similar production. I say all of this as a fan of Ahmed.

Yeah game speed is a huge difference between the two. That's obvious. Ahmed has a different gear.

By no means was Gaskin's vision perfect. He made mistakes, ran into his own lineman, and bounced shit outside and got tackled for losses as well. It's not a huge gap between the two when it comes to vision. Gaskin was just more consistent with his vision and that comes with getting more reps and having way more experience than Ahmed.
Stop it. Gaskin has some of the best vision and patience I've ever seen for a RB. Ahmed has one speed.

    There's no comparison.
Ahmed's long runs for TD's against Oregon in 2017 and Oregon State in 2018 in which he weaved through the defense almost untouched say differently.

IDGAF. Right now you all have Gaskin's dick your mouths. He's a fan favorite forever and warmed your little doog hearts and that's fine. But when Ahmed is better than him next season you all better step the fuck up and admit I was right.

You mean when Ahmed took a fly sweep to the outside? There's a difference between that and finding holes between the tackles.
He juked literally your entire defense and weaved his way through them untouched. That takes vision and instincts. He's a fantastic talent who needs more experience.

If Daniel Heimuli was measured in at 5’11.5 then what is Puka’s height?

I'd love nothing more but there's almost no way this happens.

The problem isn't that we think too lowly of Ahmed (who will be good), the problem is that you think too lowly of Gaskin. You always have. As a recruit. After his sophomore year when you started poasting here. And still to this day. He doesn't fit your definition of a great back so you don't recognize his greatness.

    Sad.
What the fuck makes you say this!? I give him ALL the credit he deserves. I have said a million fucking times he was a GREAT college RB for us. He was extremely consistent and a play maker. If we had given him the ball more we would have won more games. But I'm not gonna suck his fucking dick like he's Herschel Walker because he's not. Get that through your fucking head. There's levels to this shit. You fucking basic ass white people look at Myles Gaskin like he's a god because he's way more athletically talented than YOU. Us black people who on average, are more naturally athletic have a different perspective than you. We come from a more athletic culture than you. I can go to a fucking 24 hour fitness and see fellow regular black dudes like myself playing basketball and doing shit most of you could never do. It's just a different perspective coming from my culture than from yours.

Real recognize real. I recognize Myles Gaskin as a great college RB. But there's a huge difference between Gaskin and guys like Adrian Peterson, Saquan Barkley, Le'Veon Bell, etc. Fawning over Myles Gaskin like he's on those guy's level is beyond retarded. He's good, but he ain't that good. He's not even more talented than Salvon or Cameron Davis. You can love him and that's great. But pump the fucking brakes. We didn't just lose some transcendent, Heisman trophy winning RB we can't possibly replace. He will likely be replaced just fine by Salvon or the RB's by committee. Not only do I predict Salvon will run for a higher average yards per carry, but I also predict the entire RB group combined will run for a higher yards per carry than Gaskin did last season. We've got good running backs. I'm not worried about that position at all.
