Emotionally attached to 6”4 245 4.6? He’s going to be one of the best players this university has ever seen and yet he doesn’t try hard enough in HS so he sucks? This is a stupid argument. Gfys.

Literally no one is claiming he sucks.

You're reaching Joey Thomas "the disrespect is unreal!" territory in this thread.

    Take a deep breath dude.
Hyperbole. But to even consider Sewell as better than Savell is something lol

I mean 247 has them at 18 and 19. So yeah there's no argument for Sewell.

Sav’ell was hurt his junior year, he still has some baby fat, and a baby face and hasn’t neared his peak physically even when compared to the JTT who is a year or two younger. Sav’ell hasn’t consistently trained at FSP/an elite training program like Hunter, Salvon, Kyler, and other great athletes we’ve had from FSP. The UDUB coaches will force him to be in a strict regimen, his Garfield years didnt help much. But this is the projection business.

OLB/Edge players take a while because of how difficult OL are to beat in college vs what their used to OL’s being in HS. He is 6’3.5 240, runs a 4.6, has elite small space quickness and feet that are quicker than any OLB’s in the country that allow him to be a matchup nightmare both when rushing the passer, dropping in coverage, or shedding blocks in the run game. He can literally be a complete player who makes so much money doing the most important thing you can do in football outside of throwing the football, rushing the guy who throws the football.

He can also eliminate his side of the field on short routes when dropping into pass. Think of the amazing play in coverage Tevis Bartlett had against Utah in the PAC-12 title. Sav’ell’s feet are godly compared to Tevis’ that were too slow to let him play ILB. In a different era Sav’ell could easily be a better ILB than both Flowe and Sewell. They are just much more physically developed than he is and have been in better structured team environments and have had better coaches etc.

Sorry, all I read was a bunch of excuses on why he's not a better player. He quit FSP training this spring, stopped competing and mocked players who did and basically didn't take his craft seriously while Sewell trained like crazy and competed in everything he could. And if we are talking about quickness and footspeed, Sewell blows Smalls out of the water which is what makes him so special. There is a reason why schools like Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama were going after Sewell while schools like Tennessee, Florida State and Washington State were pursuing Smalls.
Excuses? Fine. He’s going to have structure. Again come back to me in 4 years when Sav’ell gets drafted higher than Noah. Again we aren’t ranking this off of who is the better HS prospect.

Also think it’s funny that you act like you played football. Haha. But go on!
I stopped taking your talent eval hot takes seriously when you were caught drafting behind that retard @Ballz who was basically wrong about everything.

    He's right, you know.

I’m truly gutted and sick to my stomach reading it.

Oregon and UW will almost certainly have the top 2 classes in the Pac, interestingly it appears UW will finish with a superior offensive class while Oregon has the superior defensive class.

I'll be interested to see how having Lake as HC effects our defensive recruiting going forward

Difference is the elite talent Oregon is getting. If Oregon lands Flowe, Sewell and Ringo/Manning, that's three five star recruits who are difference makers as soon as they step on campus. As much as I love Smalls, he isn't that type of player, he needs a lot of coaching. If Washington wants to take the next step, they need to get that type of talent and right now they aren't getting it.
Sewell is more elite than Savell?

    😂😂😂😂

Flowe is super developed. Amazing obviously.

Sewell is just too big for ILB.

    They ain’t getting Ringo.

    No clue on Manning.

It takes longer for edge rushers to develop. I mean you just could have said that?
    Like Tibadough?

Lolz. Stop pretending you know what you're talking about.

Sav’ell was the #3 recruit in the country and stopped going to camps and on visits etc. He’s the better it’s not even close. Will be fun to see it play out lol.

Stopped going to camps because he had issues with them and FSP.

I like Savell a lot. I'm thrilled he's coming here. But he won't be an instant impact player, and it's not because you can't make an instant impact at edge (hi KT!).

Sewell is a monster. I'm not sure I'd trade Savell for Sewell but I'd trade Savell's 2020 season for Sewell's rather easily.

And I'd surely trade him for Flowe. Flowe's incredible.

Now's the part where you call me a doog for liking Oregon top D recruits better than Smalls.
No. I’d rather have the guy with a higher ceiling that isn’t close to his physical ceiling. As good as those guys are they’re basically 22 year olds playing HS football. Also ILB is not nearly as important as edge talent. I never said he’ll have a KT like FR season. But he’ll definitely contribute next year. He’s too big, quick, and fast not to contribute lol.
I’ve tried staying out of this one.

But saying ILB isn’t nearly as important as edge talent seems a little silly after the season I just witnessed.

For years we bitched about our lack of heat from the edge but still enjoyed elite defenses because we had good ILB.

This year, we bitched because teams ran it right down our throat and made short passes into longer gains because our ILB couldn’t fill their run fits and couldn’t cover passes.

    Edit:

Both are critical. We need as many amazing players as we can get and need them in every position. I’m not willing to say one is more critics than another, because I’ve been on the other side of the fence, and the grass is shitty on both.

Everyone thought he was going to Clemson all year. They stayed on him hard. Might also be because Clemson just landed another top LB from NC but looks like they’re closing him.
