As a plus, Poly's are both a racial and a geographic group all in one so you can probably poont to them and say they are genetically strong mother fuckers. #polystrawng
If you look at demographics the future of football depends on Hispanic players and fans. I work with second generation young women whose parents came here in the 80's. Soccer is still king.
There is an interesting doc that has been on HBO the last couple of years about the Latin Explosion in entertainment in America. We will need something similar in sports. Hispanics will pass whites as the majority this century. And no, I don't give a shit or care or feel threatened.
I just want Husky Football to survive
Anyway in the early 60's Jose Jiminez as a bell hop was pretty much the extent of Latin entertainment mainstream and of course Ricky Ricardo. Now it is as influential as all the Black culture we? stole.
@RaceBannon At least in Southern California Football is hugely popular with Hispanics(that I know). Da Raiders are still well loved and from those I know most are excited about the Vegas move(bc who wants to travel to Oakland for a game?). There's also a socio-economic component. If you are wearing a Chargers jersey instead of a Cruz Azul jersey then you've obviously got some real income to be a "futbol americano" fan.

The only kids who played soccer in high-school instead of football were rich white kids with names like Tyler, Blake, Xander, Garret, and Chase. The only Hispanic guys who didn't play football were the ones who were good baseball players. All other sports weren't happening.

What's really weird is the average mexican woman is the same height but 100 pounds heavier.
Isn't Mexico in general becoming one of the most obese nations in the world because a lot of them don't have access to clean water so they just drink coke instead? Paging @CokeGreaterThanPepsi, resident Mexican coke expert.
I guess the problem is a lot of them are still suffering from malnutrition, so you end up with a bunch of 5'4" 300-pounders, who don't generally make great CFB linemen. Other than local hero Stump van Nostrom, of course.
I am not sure if I should be astounded or offended by all of this. I am really conflicted. But I will admit this is super interesting, and I presume, relevant. This place is so fucking bizarre.
Agreed.
I love this board because there are a lot of smart people here that know shit that I don’t. And the board is also great because we are better than other sites where you have to pay for info you can get here (minus Ruth, Ruth is the GOAT).
So this thread is really serious and basically graduate level stuff is being discussed in a sane manner. Meanwhile at Dawgman, they are trying to figure out how to start a fire with sticks and hurling their feces at each other and trying to find their Member's Only jackets.

I’m disappointed now. Can we call them Fast Plan recruits to avoid this confusion in the future?

Then there's the small hands thing to overcome, too.
