I love all of the Oregon fans walking back all the praise they gave Taggart. If Taggart would've stayed they would've been ecstatic.
Helpful hint, most Oregon fans are fucking idiots. The few who are smart were in LIPO with Willie. He gone, so it'll be the same with the next. The only absolute is to keep Leavitt. He is a great DC.
sure.gif
He took Colorado from last in the country in defense to top 10 in 3 years...and took Oregon from last in the country in defense to top 50 in 1 year. But yeah, he sucks.
he doesnt suck as a dcoord but as a hc at oregon he'd probably be a dumpster fire, you should go for it.
keeping it in the family and hiring a dcoord worked well at uw.
Crystalballs! Crystalballs! All the Quook players and croots want Crystalballs #CrystalbALLIN. Stupid fucking quooks never cease to amaze me with their quookism. Mario's six seasons as head coach at Florida International: 1-11, 5-7, 3-9, 7-6, 8-5, 3-9 and fired. But he's well like by the players right? That's good enough for quooks right? Please hire him.
I just realized the movement18 wasn’t about taggart moving to FSU for the 2018 season. Shit im slower than a one legged down syndrome midget in the 25 meter hurdle.
@bananasnblondes - normally I agree with you. This is not a normal off-season hire.
The staff and the recruiting is really big for Oregon this year. This is supposed to be around a 30 recruit class to get the roster up to 85. If Taggart had left after next year wouldn't be as big for continuity because we were going to take a smallish class ~20 next year.
There's a decent argument to be made to give Cristobal or Leavitt a shot at the head job, and essentially a tryout. There aren't any good hires out there. The coaching carousel has been exceedingly crazy this year. Oregon swung for the fences last year, and put together one of the best staffs in the country to go with the Taggart hire. The head coach's play calling was one of the weakest points of last season.
If either of these guys sucks, well, I'm not sure Sumlin would do a whole lot better. Show them the door after year 2-4 and find a real coach with adequate time to pre-position the new coach and staff rather than scrambling to make a hire in less than a week. In this economy.
Taggart leaving definitely hurt Oregon. So let's mitigate the harm.
A lot of words to say that Oregon Football only cares about retaining 2/3 of a good class and damned everything else beyond that.
Oregon Football isn't dead but it won't win a Pac 12 North Championship in the next 5 years. You can cook that shit.

> The quote button is broken. Anyways, passing on important news to the resident Quooks. Lane divorced Layla last year.
Smart. Kick that aging hottie to the curb now while you're making FAU money before you get that new SEC contract.
Disagree
> Huh, huh. She wants Balls.

I wood do EVERYTHING to her.
esp with leavitt leaving
gleefully slitting their own throats
Remember way back a year ago when Duck fans were pondering how much money it would take to get Nick Saban?
We? don't have a lot of good options. Pete Carroll was pretty universally derided when he got to USC and he did alright.
Not saying Cristalballzdeep is Pete Carroll, don't twist.
This is going to get some milage around here.
