The only time Helfrich was any good was when Chip was his HC or when he had Scott Frost. He wasTim Lappano fucking awful at Colorado.

Bush can at least recruit like a motherfucker and is an excellent position coach.

We all thought he was a superior option to Smiff when he was here, now he comes with that NFL QB coach cred on top of that.

There may be better options out there. Helfrich isn't one of them.

From UW WR coach to NFL QB coach to UW OC in two years is ridiculous. He was the OC at Davidson a couple years ago. Bush hasn't done shit. Helfrich's resume blows Bush out of the water. Coach Pete is going with the sure thing. Not gambling on a young gun. I love Bush. But I don't love him as our next OC.
