Really? To me, it seems like a waste of time and taxpayer money, but to each their own
Until we scrap this idea of a worthless 15 billion dollar border wall I don't want to hear about anything "wasting taxpayer money"
FWIW I think this may get overturned
I read a study by FAIR that estimated the total burden on taxpayers in 2013 for illegal immigration exceeded $113 billion. The burden on Washington State in 2013 was $1.4 billion. A $15 billion investment in a wall has a quick payback. ONTH, there are other, cheaper ways to break the will of anyone wanting to cross the border illegally, and forcing those here illegally to leave.
You do realize there's been basically a net migration by Mexicans out of America, right? Not to mention about half of illegal immigrants actually enter the country legally.
So a wall is a solution without a problem.
What is the net migration of Central Americans that come through Mexico HondoFS?
I feel dirty but I'm with the bored libs here. The wall is going to be massively ineffective. It won't solve people overstaying their visas, it won't solve the millions who are already here (and will likely encourage a surge of those coming/decrease of those returning south before it is in place), and it won't solve the tunnels.
It's a massively expensive partial solution. To me it's not close to worth it.
Other options:
Repeal the anchor baby law.
Cut off all public assistance to illegals.
Punish companies that employ illegals. (Canada has some tough laws in this regard}
Develop a temporary work visa to allow migrant workers.
Less Humanitarian option:
Deploy state National Guards to border and give a two week notice. Shoot on sight anyone trying to cross illegally.
You do realize illegals don't get public assistance already. And one of the contributing factors to less illegal immigration is that Bush and Obama have increased security, border patrol, and deportations the last 15 years.
It's almost like you don't understand reality.
You realize illegals get billions in public assistance right?
And yes, those are just two small measured amounts...as somebody referenced before it has been reported to be as high as $113 billion a year, and no body can argue with the fact that govt money is spent. And yes...a lot of it is at the state and local level where they are footing the bill for teachers trying to get kids who don't speak English caught up in school, etc. http://www.fairus.org/docserver/uscoststudy_2010.pdf
And another side question...why is it every Liberal hero like this idiotic Washington AG look like they have a soft skull and can get beat up by a 10 year old? You think probability would kick in and they would have at least 1 normal guy step forward but nope...

It's almost like you are only telling part of the story.
Based on an audit by the Treasury Inspector General, the claim leaves out some context. Trump conflates "illegal immigrants" with "unauthorized workers," a group composed largely of undocumented immigrants but also legal immigrants and others. The $4.2 billion refers to the amount given in tax credit refunds for children, the large majority of whom are U.S. citizens. And the actual year is 2009, not 2011 (that was the year the report was published).
Also, it's important to note that illegal immigrants pay an estimated $12 billion in payroll taxes to Social Security and don't receive benefits. So Trump is leaving out a significant part of the picture when it comes to taxes and undocumented workers.
Right. Did you even read the zero hedge article? Zero hedge complaining about fake news is laughable.
So zerohedge lied when it directly quoted Politifact on both Bernie Sanders and Trump? Free free to correct their quotes if they are wrong...and if not feel free to go fuck yourself.

You are reading a website that just makes shit up. Complain because another website gave Bernie a mostly true and Trump a mostly false. But thoroughly explained what it did and zero hedge never disputed the facts.

Are you that dumb or trolling for a response?
Sounds grand for somebody with a speed limit IQ such as you, but you apparently went and fucked off because you didn't (and can't) specify which of the direct quotes from Politi(non)fact is not true. The same claim from 2 different candidates, yet completely different conclusions from the trash website. There are entire websites and tons of examples of the bias of Politifact, but reading and thinking is apparently hard for someone with a speed limit IQ such as yourself.
So, again, feel free to actually correct the quotes if they are wrong, and if they aren't then go fuck yourself.

I do like it when a dude cries about being labeled a denier then throws out the speed limit IQ. But then can't even read the politifact articles. First, Bernie responded with exactly how they got to the number, Trump didn't. And they were a year apart. And you and zero hedge didn't refute the facts.
You are distracting from the point that illegal immigrants are net contributors to the federal government. You haven't refuted one thing from the politifact article. And if you don't like their article, there's many more that have the exact same thing if you open your mind beyond brietbart, UK tabloids, and zero hedge.

And another part that is always ignored is the stupid money the Feds pay back to illegal immigrants in Earned Income Tax Credit...

And linking to Politifact as a rebuttal to anything I (didn't) type is just comical...as if they aren't biased or anything. One of many examples...
