It's too bad that both parties have moved from the center, especially the Democrats.

Would love to see Trump wrong-foot the gender / reproductive obsessives by not talking about and ultimately not touching Planned Parenthood. I think the bathroom thing is silly and only 0.3% of the population is transgendered.

As for 2016, it's amazing to witness the difference in election talent between two respected competitors (Clinton vs. Dole) compared to 20 years later with Hillary vs. Trump.

That's just another example of conservatives making a bigger deal of liberals making a big deal about something than liberals made it in the first place.
Wrong. This is on the left agenda in the name of tolerance. Just look what happened to North Carolina.
huh? it was the conservatives that got butthurt about your supposed non issue and passed a law to prevent in.

We're arguing over something as dumb as where .3% of the population can piss and shit. one party wants to make it an issue and passes laws specifically to stop them. who's the obsessed one again?

Typos aside I made my point. You guys are veering elsewhere.

The point was in response to the post that the transgender thing is overplay by the conservatives of a liberal value.

The left brought this one to the table and it is a big deal to them. Ask North Carolina.

No. Transgender people brought this to the table and conservatives freaked the fuck out.

Like I said - it was dumb to make it an issue and activate the left over it. I also think it's a dumb issue period.

Also like I said in the very beginning, the party has been co-opted by fringe fundies and purists. That's the biggest issue.

The guy is going to go balls deep on the rest of the world and that's not a bad thing. America FIRST.

All the world that has been leaching off our teet and weakening our influence will be put on notice. We've been the gullible grandma willing to blindly write a blank check to our crackhead underlings for way too long.

The left preaches tolerance, but suddenly it's an issue that our President has a positive relationship with Russia. Putin respects trump because he knows that the dude will end him if he fucks around.

Finally a leader that will call a spade a spade, how refreshing.

First stop on this so called balls deep tour: CIA headquarters to whine about how many people came to the inauguration in front of the 117 memorial stars.

    What a little bitch.
While also bragging about being on the cover of Time magazine "many times", which I am sure resonates with an audience of spies that often have to protect their identities to serve the country. And get no public acknowledgement or recognition of any kind when they make the ultimate sacrifice.

Could he be any more tone deaf?

No such thing as transgendered people. You are what you were born as. Can't change the DNA. Tired of this BS. Perverted retards are not special nor deserving of special treatment.

Disagree. If you are a liberal democrat, Hillary is a fine candidate.

They lost because they mangled the campaign. Period. She is perfectly electable. She's just a shitty showman and she pandered to her party's current "obsession with cultural issues." That and the mangling of the immigration issue is what killed her.
Any liberal would tell you that Hillary is not a liberal. She made to many mistakes in the campaign to discuss. And I don't think the rust belt States that elected her were ready for a female president.
Mabye - I can agree with all that, and I also agree that she's not the most liberal of liberals - but she's pretty fucking liberal my friend. At least on the big issues.
She's not liberal at fucking all. Fuck off with this bullshit.
    Not liberal at all? Really?

Hey, did someone hit you over the head with something at the women's march today?

You've turned into a dumb faggot.
While you were away, apag started out as a Bernie bot but following clinton's nomination he went back to his jilted lover race as a trump backer. "Wall Street.!1" "Establishment!1" usual white trash shrieking.
First of all, I don't even know who you are but thanks for keeping tabs on my every political decision. It's nice to have fans.

Second, neither Race nor myself has ever "jilted" the other. It's always been love.
You and race. A match made in white trash heaven.

Yeah, but she won the fucking ticket, and those "turned off" liberals sure as fuck did not vote for Trump.

Trump is not in office because Hillary wasn't liberal enough. Jesus guys. Remember what we're discussing.

No - Hillary spent too much time in the south to be a Bay Area liberal. She's been in politics at the highest levels way too long to not have some dirt under her nails, and she may just be more centrist than a chick who doesn't shave her arm pits would like.

It doesn't mean she's not liberal. She's fucking liberal from where I stand.
She won the ticket because the people pulling the purse strings behind the scenes and the DNC wanted her to. If Sanders was given a fair shot, he probably would have.

I don't think that's true. Hillary won the votes. Too many people are scared of the word socialist and don't understand it.

Hillary won more votes in Dem bastions of Big Government but she obviously didn't win the swing states. The Founders' wisdom predicted that large states and large populations could push around smaller states. The 13 states wouldn't have come together if not for those foundations because they were worried Virginia (the most populated state at the time and 3 out of the first 4 presidents came from VA) would exert undue influence.

As for the word "Socialist", why don't you think people should be scared of it? Even since the Bolshevik Revolution, tens of millions of people have died from deprivation, starvation, and war initiated by those attempting to infect others with the Red Menace.

Of course France hasn't started in 147 years but their version of Socialism has led to economic stagnation, declining world influence, and the diminishing of their culture / security due to Muslim immigration and terrorism.

You're partially right. Crooked Hillary won the democrat playoffs and did so by procuring more regular delegate votes than Crazy Bernie, in addition to the overwhelming majority of superdelegate votes. She won by any measure.

However, the final margin was no doubt influenced by the political elite within the Party of Tolerance. Her win was guaranteed before the first vote was cast, the DNC made sure of that as WikiLeaks exposed, from scheduling debates when no one was watching to wrapping up and gifting her the vast majority of superdelegate votes. The party of RJ Daley and LBJ is alive and well. Gotta love it.

It sounds like you don't get it either. I'm not on board with free college and other shit Bernie was proposing. That being said, what he was proposing still wasn't socialism like you are referencing. But keep being afraid.

No Transgender people brought this to the table, looped in the gay rights crowd, a formidable constituency to the left, and made it matter. It wasn't top of list, but it's on the list.

You're working way too hard here to prove a non-point.

Um no. You think the political elite can sway millions and millions of votes? You don't think the RNC internal correspondence wasn't the exact same as the DNC? The primary difference was Bernie only had one person to compete with. Trump had 17 so he could win with 35% of the vote.
