Seriously, honestly: why would anyone leave Washington unless they were fucking morons?
Honestly, Wawrshington is a fucking amazing job. If you get it rolling here (especially in the new Pac-10 landscape where there are divisions) you are pretty much guaranteed to be in the Pac-12 Championship game 4 out of every 5 years, sign 6-7 really good kids out of Washington every year, have packed stadiums every game, rabid fan base, beautiful setting, great uni to sell, etc.
Where's Pete going to go? Oregon? Tennessee? Lol. There are really only 6-7 other jobs that are 'better' than UW's in the NCAA, but the only one where you can live any place decent in Texas and even then as soon as you win 9 games the fanbase is going to want you hung.
Going conference by conference:
Pac-10 USC - great job because of the talent pipeline, but the locals don't give a flying fuck unless you are winning 11+ games a year in flashy style. Not what Pete is about. UCLA - lol. NOGAF. Oregon - at their height their stadium is like 50k and it took them 2 years to erode a 20 year run and we are already getting the best players out of Oregon.
Big-10 Michigan - great job. Bonus of idiot Ruth's Chris proprietors and daily body count updates from Detroit. Probably won't open any time soon. Ohio State - see Michigan. Great job and uni. Fans are fucking lunatics, though. Columbus is boring. Penn State - great job, legacy of pedophilia is pretty intense, though. Wisconsin - basically UW without a lot of the isolation advantages and too much stiff comp. Plus Barry Alvarez looking over your shoulder. Their coach left for OREGON STATE. Iowa - good place, inferior Wiscy. Nebraska - great job, but why would Pete leave for it? You have to live in Nebraska.
Big-12 Texas - great job, great location. Only problem is dealing with a fanbase and boosters who are fucking insane and subject yourself to total scrutiny at all times. Oklahoma - great job, you have to live in Norman, OK which would be like moving to a suburb of Spokane. Plus the Uni is shit. Baylor - the good news is that there are no rules and you can get away with rapes and murders if you win. The bad news is that you live in Waco and are at a shitty uni run by right wing Baptists who don't think evolution is real. lol.
SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC Alabama - it's a great job because of the support, but you are at a completely shit uni, in the middle of nowhere, in a place full of hicks and hardwoods. Auburn - it's Alabama with less support, more trailer trash and a university that always teeters on losing accreditation. LSU - I guess it's a good job. Loyal fanbase. Lots of talent around. Shitty university, population 17 bad days from a race war at any time. Tennessee - great job, have to live in Knoxville which isn't that bad, but the uni is shit and the fanbase doesn't GAF about Pete's values. Florida - great job, great uni, insane jort-addled fanbase. This is a good one, but would Pete leave for it and move to Gainesville which is total bullshit? I doubt it.
ACC Florida State - good job, ASU of Florida without good grad programs. Life in the Panhandle where you are Alabama with a beach. Miami - USC of the east: good private uni in a great city full of Spanish speakers that DGAF about football unless you are winning 11+ per year. Also, hurricanes and the Haitian mafia. Clemson - Live in the fucking middle of nowhere, mediocre uni, loyal fans that are mostly racist hicks; good job, but UW is way better on basically everything Clemson has.
OTHER Notre Dame - live very close to where the KKK was invented, in a flat a shitty craphole so you can tell your kids fun stories about when Gary wasn't a toxic waste dump in the union days. Good uni, though.
Good lord denny, what a lump of shit post this was. What a waste of a Sunday

He's sticking around longer than Whittingham is at your shitty high school stadium, that's for sure.
You clearly don't know what the fuck you're talking about. It must be nice being spared the ravages in intelligence.
Are you kidding me? He has already gotten into it with the AD over assistant salaries, etc. Then your stadium is small enough to be embarrassing to the Pac 12, which is quite an achievement. He's already been in rumors with USC if they fire Helton. You are not, and never will be, a destination school.
If Oregon and Phil comes calling he is fucking gone before you can chug your next 2% beer.
Hey 2,499, you been following college football long?

You're very late regarding the USC situation. It's rumored that he has turned it down twice. He also turned down Tennessee in 2009.
Our stadium is a beautiful place to take in a game. Size will come, money is better spent elsewhere to make our programs competitive in the Pac-12. (like salaries, just to name one of a zillion of our needs)
Holy fuck, Oot POTD. He is gone when a real program comes knocking. He isn't getting the skill guys he needs at your school.
Not that I have a doog in this fight, but a real program has come knocking. USC did talk to him, seriously, a few years back, if SC poosters are to be believed.
That rumor was probably before him getting into it w/ the AD for being unwilling to pay assistants. If USC comes again or Oregon comes, he is gone. He can't get the skill guys he needs to stick to Utah. Fuck, Sidney Jones flipped on a dime to us. Utah is not a destination job, and not equipped to win the conference, and he knows it.
The latest USC rumor was LAST YEAR. Whitt got into it with the AD over salaries after back to back 7 loss seasons ending in 2013. Everyone agreed with our AD! Sitake left for OSU and no one cried. Skill guys? I lost count how many DBs we have in the NFL. True, we need more on offense but some are here already.
What's your fucking grind anyway? I ask a question about Peterson and you're off on some dick measuring stadium size argument and 2% beer?
HE'S NOT FUCKING SWEDISH YOU ASSHOLE. AND HE'S CERTAINLY NOT FUCKING ENGLISH.
It's PeterSEN you fuckstick. Like the fucking Danes and Norgs, you ass hat ball of shit.
If you are going to poast on a bored originating in the PNW at least have the fucking perspicacity to know the littlelist fucking bit about Scandinavian names.
I realize it must have been confusing growing up in Wonderbread land where things were so diverse black people weren't considered humans, but the rest of the world actually has some non Anglo-Saxon naming nomenclature you feeg.
Here's a good place to start getting your toes wet if you want to fit in around here (also, please to be customarily PMing @IrishDawg22 to dial in):
