I was dialed in last year ... so let's see how it goes this year
3-0 Non-conference ... please
W @ Arizona: win by double digits W vs Stanford: QB play will be a huge issue for the Tree W @ Oregon: they just won't be that good W vs Oregon St: they suck W @ Utah: will be a close game, don't think that they have the offense W @ Cal: Cal's going to be a disaster by the end of the year L vs USC: Welcome back to reality game for us W vs ASU: Bad weather game where ASU just wants to go home W @ Wazzu: Our defense is made for their offense
W vs PAC South Dreck: South winner will be lucky to be better than 8-4
L vs Bowl Game: No clue if that's Rose Bowl or National Semi ... but that will be by far the best team we play all year ... PAC is going to be dreck this year
Will end the year 12-2 primed to go on a very strong run in 2017
You picked 12-1 the year before. Fuck off.
I'd rather have the balls to have expectations and stick my neck out by saying what it is that I see versus sitting back, criticizing others, and being a loser that always expects the worst.
But then again, you get off on saying that people (notably me) are guilty of "moving goal posts" by actually reviewing what happened and comparing what one was expecting versus what happened.
I have to go with 10-3 but if they can at least split between whOregon and Furd, there's potential for 11-2. I see a third loss somewhere between a bowl game, a possible P 12 Championship Game, and just the general loser culture that they're trying to erase but we all know is still lingering, at least a little. They aren't quite elite until they prove it, but it is a good team.

That's the definition of moving the goalposts.
You expected 12-1 in 2014.
When Peterman conclusively disproved your misplaced optimism, you moved the goalposts to match the actual outcome to what you "expected".
I look forward to your excuses when UW falls miserably short of 12-2, Aubs

Peterman needs to go 6-3 in conference this year just to get over .500 in his UW career and to catch back up to Sark.
How about he gets ahead of Sark before you break out the elite term?

You're right ...
I said 1) that the QB play was far inferior to my expectations and 2) underestimated the impact of a coaching change to culture
That's not moving the goalposts, that's admitting the mistakes I made in my assumptions

I predicted 9-4. I don't think we will win the North. I will be happy if we do. It's not that hard to understand. Fuck off.

"Elite" is the most abused term in college football. Very few teams belong in that category. Objectively, the PAC hasn't had one in over a decade. Pete's fighting Reggie Bushes were the last truly elite PAC team.
To improve as a team from mediocre to good, the Huskies offense will have to surprise the way the defense did last year, and the defense will have to continue to improve to the point of containing any team they face, dominating those considered competitively on par or lesser. If they do that, they will have shown themselves to be a good team and have a legitimate shot of contending for the North Division. If not, the curse of El Siete lives on.
Elite??? Make it to the MNC game and knock off a Nick Saban Alabama team or an Urban Meyer Ohio State team, then maybe add that term (and/or lucky) to the conversation.
Rutgers: Husky Nation is shocked as the Scarlett Knights live up to their name and cut Browning in half in the first quarter. KJC-S is brought in and fumbles the ball 5 times while the coaches try to run the option that was practiced 0 times in fall camp. L
Idaho: Smith desperately puts Lindquist in for Idaho where he throws for 300 yards off of 3 100 yard bombs to Ross and 5 interceptions, 4 of which returned back to the daWg house. L
PSU: Jake Rodriguez is brought in to start where you have Vikings vs. Hombres. JRod blood eagled in the 3rd quarter, cuououogs laugh at us at Vikes secure Cascadia Cup. L
(They also beat Central 100-0 right before they drop football, so AOG finally kills himself)
Arizona: The hyphen kid we got from the state is brought in for some revenge action until a doog comes up right before kickoff and tells him that we just can't compete in this weather. L
Stanford: Fozzy Bear (or whatever the fuck his name is) declares for Furd right before kickoff, half the staff kills themselves and Linquist is brought back in because you just have to counter clean cut white kids with another clean cut white kid. L
Oregon: Freeman runs for 200 and Devon Allen scores thrice on 3 reverses. L
Beavs: Benny the Beaver accidentally drops his chainsaw on Gaskin's thigh before kickoff. Reeser Stadium goes wild as a walk-on from Forest Grove runs for 200+. L
Utah: Whittingham suggests that UW might be better off going to the MWC. Troy Williams Heisman campaign rolls on. L
Cal: Sean McGrew is pounding Cal up their gay hairy asses until Smith decides he needs to break out his toolbox of fucktardedness during every trip to the redzone. L
USC: USC watches game film from last year, runs it up the middle literally every down and wins 88-0. L
ASU: Bridge-Gadd is brought back against another 'Zona opponent until a doog walks up to him and informs him that you just can't transition from playing hs ball in a warm-weather state to playing in hurricane-style winds. Graham reaches out to Cohen and says he's done actually coaching, wants a lifetime contract to coach UW. L
Wazzu: Announced before halftime that Husky Stadium is being turned into a pea patch because of the sustainability prospects. Everyone wearing purple kills themselves. L

Definition of playing both sides ...
If the record plays to not win the North, you can sit back and say that you were right ...
If they win the North, you'll doog up the victory, say that you underestimated this or that (moving the goal posts) and when you get called on being too pessimistic before the season just default into the "well, they had to prove it before I believed it" dismissiveness.

I'm going to find her and smack dem tittays!!
Losses: Stanford, @Oregon and one of Utah or SC.
Stanford does set up nicely tho for you guys tho: short week for trees after playing me, Friday night is prone to upsets, still new QB for Stanford.
That game is your season. Win that and you'll probably win the Norf.
