Even Turner getting almost 19 million a year. Noah could hardly make a lay up last year and is getting 18 mil. Mozgov is getting 16.

It's the way the NBA works with the new labor agreement, but thes contracts are crazy.

Franchise values have probably been increasing faster than player salaries.

Warriors sold in 2010 for $400M, 4 years later the fucking kings and bucks go for $550M and clips go for $2billion.

Or do you have a problem with black men getting paid?

It's pretty hard to value sports franchises because they are generally the side chick to some ego maniacal billionaire who decides how badly he wants it. I think Forbes did a study where actual value of the business vs. what people will pay is crazy off because if a billionaire wants a shiny toy they'll get it.

In the end what you're worth is what you get paid, but being from Sac that price was inflated greatly because of Seattle wanting a team.

As long as Seattle is Sonicsless all franchises will be overvalued because some dumbass northwest power group will get in a bidding war and then lose because that's what the northwest does.

It's not hard to value actual transactions that have actual prices attached to them. HTH.

Whatever your measure of value is (Forbes or actual transactions) franchise values have clearly ballooned in the past 5-10 years. Players are just getting their % of the growing pie.

Nobody pitches a fit about MLB salaries which are nearly as ridiculous.

Disagree. These NBA contracts are far surpassing the MLB's on a level of value.

It was kind of puzzling that Jeff Smajardja got 5 years 90 mil. Mike Conley got 5 and 153.

NBA is worth more than baseball and growing.

Never mind. Just went and read all about another year of Mavericks futility and failure. Cuban used to be pretty good at this. Now he sucks balls. Maybe he should hire @Cohen12 to run things.

Mavs landed 2/5s of a 73 win teams starting lineup. Cuban proves the haters wrong.

Does the fact that it's the bad 2/5ths matter?

So the shark got 40% of the company. At what valuation?
