Wikipedia and the Pac-12 are my sources. What are yours?

    Unofficial next years prediction:
official more accurate prediction will be posted closer to the season start

Spring Football Game (Off Season National Champion) - W

    @ Boise State (thurs) - L
    Sacramento State - W
    Utah State - W
    Cal - W
    BYE week
    @ USC (thurs) - L
    Oregon - L
    @ Stanford - L
    Arizona - L
    Utah - L
    @‌ ASU - L
    @‌ OSU - W
    WSU - W

    No Bowl Game
    conference: 3-6
    Overall: 5-7

finish 10th in the conference ahead of Colorado and WSU

If it plays out that way, Peterman should be fired Lane Kiffin style on the Sea-Tac tarmac.
If it is that bad, he is not the guy.

    Here's what I'm hoping for

Spring Football Game (Off Season National Champion) - Tie (USC)

    @ Boise State (thurs) - L
    Sacramento State - W
    Utah State - W
    Cal - W
    BYE week
    @ USC (thurs) - L
    Oregon - L
    @ Stanford - W
    Arizona - W
    Utah - W
    @‌ ASU - L
    @‌ OSU - W
    WSU - W

    conference: 6-3
What you're really saying is... you have no clue whether Peterman is the "guy" or not... whatever the fuck that means... but if we struggle this year, regardless of reason, you'll quit just like all the 12's in Seattle do.

The first part is correct, I have no idea if he is the guy. This season will tell us a lot. If we have a really bad record (say, 3-6 in the pac), that is highly indicative that he is not the guy. Nothing fancy, I'm not trying to go out on a limb here, just trying to be correct.
Agree with this. I was very disappointed this season, expected better, especially by the time the bowl game rolled around, but willing to LIPO for three years. That said, they should be moving forward not backward, this season will be telling, and it's full on torches and pitchforks in year three if this crap carries over that long.
You expected better because you believed Sark that in Year 6, Miley was a championship caliber QB, Kasen Williams is an NFL receiver, Peters wasn't bat shit crazy and could be trusted, Sankey wouldn't be missed... etc... etc...

I'm just trying to get a handle on the rules around here.

If we're accepting Todd Turner-Helms Association nattys, then pretty much anything goes as far as I'm concerned.

But on a more substantive note - Helfrich and Shaw are 1-1 and each one has one Rose Bowl trophy. Shaw's had four tries, Helfrich has 2.

    Helf > Shaw (already)

We need to see real results this year and a North division title year 3 or we have the wrong guy

    Again

Oregon is in your division. lol.
David Fucking Shaw has more North division titles than Mark Helfrich does.

    Case closed.
    Doog.

Shaw has one Rose Bowl trophy (with one loss) in four years. Helfrich has one Rose BowlPasadena Semifinal trophy (no losses) in two.

Helfrich has finished 1st in the North both years he has been head coach.

    Helfrich:

    Shaw:

    Obligatory correction.

Also, if Helfrich finished first in the North in 2013, why did Stanford go to the Rose Bowl?

I don't think UW is going to be particularly good next year. I also don't think Peterman is a bad coach. The problem some are running into while predicting 4 or 5 wins next year is they forgot how fucking hard it is to not win at least half of your games in the Pac 12 with even mediocre talent and head coach.

Since Gilby pooped all over himself and lost 6 games with the top 14 pre season team in the country, we started to think that winning 7 required a good team. It doesn't. Even with the personnel losses from last year, 7 wins should still be a no brainer. Hell, tyrone beat Boise. Just because Sark lost to them in a bowl game while he was hung to the over doesn't mean Pete will.

Mediocre season next year while rebuilding, like this year, 8 wins.

For me it boils down to this - I can't say I think Petersen is the guy and that the season is over and we're still the year after next year's team. If he can't develop and recruit we don't want him anyway. I think the 2015 season is real and it should show us far better than the dreck we saw this year. If not, then the year after next probably won't be special anyway

I also don't see it happening next year. The lines are a big question mark, especially on offense. As is QB. We could be really good in year 3, though.

    I was right.

Also, LOL at @oregonblitzkrieg (RIP) and Team Carta-Hyphen.

Need @GrundleStiltzkin to make me a Tyler Rape .gif from the interview where he says, "we the best" in the most awkward way possible. That shit was gold.

Look at my gorgeous poasts in this bitch. They are magnificent.

    Chris Petersen

Washington the previous 3 years: 22-16

    Petersen year 1: 8-6, 6th in P12, L in Cactus Bowl
    Petersen year 2: ???????????????

    --------

So by looking at the elite coaches that entered a program during the BCS era, it takes a full season and offseason to start to yield success and show signs of greatness. If Petersen is who we hope he is -- then next year will tell us a lot.

    Great poast.

I don't see us being great next year, but I do think the doom and gloom is too much. I expect a winning season with a record resembling this year, but better play.

One thing I don't understand about the logic that "we're losing so much" (especially on this bored) is that we all fucking know the players don't matter nearly as much as the coaches. Sure, Shelton is great... sure Shaq was rad, but what did that really get us this year?

We beat the teams we were superior to and lost to the teams we were inferior to. All while playing the shittiest QB I've ever seen start a whole season at UW not named Ronnie Fouch (though, honestly, Fouch was probably better).

I don't see how next year will be any different.

Shelton was Alameda Ta'amu before last year. Shaq was a 'maybe could be awesome' player, Kikaha was inconsistent and Peters was definitely our most consistently dominant player. We kicked him off, got massive production and/or consistency upgrades from the rest of our good players, but it still didn't mean our D was dominant because our back-end were all freshmen and the rest of our players were average.

The coaching matters, a lot. I'm still pretty pro-Pete and I think we will be good next year and then we will start to be REALLY good the year following that.

    2016 WILL BE SPECIAL!!!!111!!!!
DDY can no longer say I only point out the times he's wrong.
