$15/hr minimum wage won't mark the end of the world. It's still shit pay, but it's much better than $8 and far more fair and reasonable. Work should pay. If a full time job doesn't pay enough to keep someone off of foodstamps, that job is garbage and the company providing that job needs to be hit with penalties that will encourage them to start offering a liveable wage. They can absorb the cost by decreasing the salaries of upper management, decreasing somewhat the obscene difference in pay between the lowest and the highest paid employees that has become the American norm.
