Bitching about just under 63k average attendance with all the shitty kickoff times? I’m impressed with that, actually. Probably not all butts in seats, but still. Blame the upper campus for signing off on the tv dollar enslavement by Larry Scott.
I maintain that anybody who’s a UW fan is an idiot or a saint or both given what this program has been through the last 20 years.
I get being separated by distance and the convenience of watching from home, but you’ve got “the greatest setting,” cheap, plentiful tickets, convenient transit, and abundant tailgating opportunities. Seems like a no-brainer for at least one or two visits to Huskie Arena per year for those in the Puget Sound area.
There is nothing wrong with DVR'ing and sitting on the coach with a cold beer, however, there is nothing like going to game live. The crisp fall air, the buzz of the crowd as the huddle breaks on 3rd down, screaming at a Quook fan 3 rows down, standing in line for 4hrs, come on @chuck
I'm old, tired, and broken. No question.
Enough said on that?
I have 10 years of youth and 30 years of adult, UW fandom under my belt and will do everything possible to watch the game on TV.
Old Chuck, new old man attitude. Every HCH poaster has spoken out about the difference between last year's chuck and the one we'll see watching the Rose Bowl from his couch.
This deserves about 15-20 chincredibles. I'm not sure why people are being stingy with this funny post. Perhaps residual resentment over your recent downvoting spree?
After 28 years of being a season ticket holder at UW, I just can’t anymore. The joy is gone for me. We can raise money to bring in talent and develop them and they can walk away for a better offer. I really hope changes are made. I just can’t support this anymore. Go Dawgs.
Wait a minute. This was woosh. God damn you!
That's funny, I thought you were feigning not to get it
This is a funny thread after all the posts about UWs attendance. TVs got too big I guess
Not funny. it gives insight into why attendance sucks. Hint, it’s not Hamilton, wildfire smoke, traffic on 520, slow ticket scanners, or the students not on campus yet..,,
I went to every game from 1985 thru the Willingham debacle - never left early until Ty was coach then started giving thee seats away to the kids. Then moved to Lebam and a 2 hour drive to the stadium so only went one game a year. then tapered off to the last game was a screwed up game won by the Ducks when Pete was coach. called it quits in 2018, that after one game a year for 5 years.

The fans are an after thought. Yet the top programs still pack the house..
I see many big programs with similar issues these days
I saw empty seats in the upper decks at the Iron Bowl this year.
Saw some at Michigan too couple weeks ago in shitty weather.
I went to Penn State's white out game this year; playing your Minnesota Golden Gophers, a team with a winning record (and probably PSU's 2nd best win lol) but not really a threat to win the game. It was packed full. They sell beer now too.
However, after PSU lost to Ohio State for their 2nd loss the next week (also a full house), you could see attendance dip pretty significantly for the remaining lame games.
I haven't been to a Seattle game since 2005. It sounds and looks gay. I went to maybe seven between '03 and '05 and they lost most, including to Nevada. I don't miss it, though if I still lived in that rain soaked leftist cesspool, I'd probably go to one per year if the price was right on Stubhub.

I'm the Rodney Dangerfield of HCH. I'm lucky I get any chins at all.

At PCC last week I was the only person in the store not wearing a mask.
Flog me for shopping at that hippie commune shop, I know.
But their hot food is pretty good and pretty close by for lunch.
I do abuse myself and watch on TV
