Could be wrong, but when you re-watch the game, it seems that this angle makes what actually happened appear much worse (more disrespectful of the coach) than it was. In the game, #11 and Jedd are much further away from each other than the picture suggests and the kid's pointing of "first down" or whatever doesn't seemed "aimed" at Jedd.
I remember seeing this picture and thinking the kid was being a little aggressive in Jedd's face but the overhead shot shows them yards away from each other. I think.

Who knows if it is true but there are rumors that Jimmy Sexton, who happens to be Franklin's agent, has torpedoed every single attempted PSU hire in retaliation. If so, I am totally here for that.
