Re: Big Ten wants the CFP expanded to 24-28 teams
If you like college football then the 24 team tournament is better than the 12 team playoff. It's like getting a bunch of great noncon games after the season where the teams are actually proven to be good, not a preseason guess. It also does away with the stupid conference championship games. Last year would have looked something like this if the games went to the home teams:
Top 6 BIG teams: Oregon, TOSU, Pedo, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa (Iowa bumped out a couple teams ranked ahead of them strictly because of being in the B10)
Top 6 SEC teams: Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas
Top 4 ACC teams: Clemson, SMU, Syracuse, Miami
Top 4 Big 12 Teams: ASU, BYU, Colorado, Iowa State
2 G5 Teams: Boise state, Army
2 At large: Notre Dame, Missouri
Round 1
#24-Iowa 8-4 at #9-Boise state 12-1
#23-Colorado 9-3 at #10 SMU 11-2
#22-Army 11-1 at #11 Alabama 9-3
#21 Syracuse 9-3 at #12 Arizona State 11-2
#20 Illinois 9-3 at #13 Miami Fl 10-2
#19 Missouri 9-3 at #14 Mississippi 9-3
#18 Iowa State 10-3 at #15 South Carolina 9-3
#17 BYU 10-2 at #16 Clemson 10-3
Round 2
Clemson 11-3 at Oregon 13-0
South Carolina 10-3 at Georgia 11-2
Mississippi 10-3 at Texas 11-2
Miami fl 11-2 at Pedo State 11-2
Arizona State 12-2 at Notre dame 11-1
Alabama 10-3 at Ohio State 10-2
SMU 12-2 at Tennessee 10-2
Boise state 13-1 at Indiana 11-1
Lots of fun games, like I said, if you truly like watching meaningful college football. Do away with a ton of stupid bowl games and give the players something to not opt out of. The old ways, that I loved, have been dead for 20 years. It's time for something new to rise from the ashes in this money driven era. Imagine if 1989 UW had a chance to play in this tournament. Maybe they finish top 16 or 8 instead of #23 because they had figured something out late that season. Could be really fun, if you like college football.

Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
- You haven't been "listening" to the B1G station all off-season.
- I've been actually watching these previews including Ohio State and my criticism has nothing to do with UW in particular. Everybody in an 18 team conference is getting roughly the same treatment.
- Your no-research, butthurt, nothing comment on "The B1G has done nothing for UW's national perception" is so stupid it wasn't worth responding to beyond a simple downvote. You guys don't put the time into this that you say you do, and it's obvious to everyone that does.
- Older fans not spending or wanting to keep up with price increases is an issue with sports across the board, it's not a UW thing even though you guys want it to be because you hate the school itself so much.

Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
The most important thing about the Ohio State game is going to be poasting 5 Reasons on the Boov boreds.

Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
And that's why i don't even post on this topic much anymore, because it's obvious that with 1 channel and 18 teams, everybody is going to feel slighted. Only Ohio State even come close to standing out.
UW is getting fluffed by almost everyone that's a regular contributor from my experience. "This year's Indiana" which yes is really annoying.
I completely disagree with the Pac 12 Network. A bunch of you live up north where you have access to the Washington-only channel. I was stuck with the Oregon one so I watched the national channel exclusively. This is where you actually see how that network operates in terms of coverage. UW got completely ass fucked by the network every single fucking year except like 1 or 2 Petersen years. They hired a bunch of ex-players from the smaller schools and that's all those guys wanted to talk about.
2022 and 2023 UW was by far the best team and the Pac's coverage was so embarrassing that I started rooting for all of those people to lose their jobs.

Re: Who does RaceBannon hate more?
I get that Woodward et al were the ultimate targets of HHB rage, but how does Willingham get a pass? The clown was arrogant, dismissive, unapologetic, and clueless.
Chocolate milk and treadmills for all!

Re: Who does RaceBannon hate more?
That fucking baby poop colored hoodie is worth a vote.

Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
I've never given those people shit for not wanting to pay a bunch and put in the time sink to do an 8pm kick off against a team we should no longer be scheduling in the latest cfb system.
I have literally helped an 80+ year old get to his seat because I saw how fucking hard it is for a dude like that to drop 500+ dollars for a seat he can't even physically get to. At the Michigan and SC games last year. Unsurprisingly he wasn't at UCLA.
That's something that UW and these programs need to figure out.

Re: What's Your Toxic Doog Opinion?
It was a bad weather day and then you add on the Lewis injury and it just amplified things … it was a day that the D needed to be at its best and frankly they weren't.
I think most people don't really remember how hot/cold Brunell was as a QB at UW … he got a lot better once he got to the NFL and learned for a few years in Green Bay before heading to Jacksonville.
