All Star Game Reporting
Local TV stations are all over themselves covering the All Star game here in the ATL (well, Cobb County).
This morning, watching the NBC affiliate, I learned the 2021 game that was scheduled to be in Atl was cancelled due to Covid. All this time I was under the impression that it wasn't cancelled, that it was in fact moved to Denver as part of a knee jerk reaction from MLB after Georgia enacted some new voting laws. Y'all remember Smoking' Joe Biden referred to them as Jim Eagle laws? You know- the same laws that preceded the 2022 elections that had the highest level of minority turnout in Georgia? The same laws that are still in effect today.
I'm glad I turned to such a trusted news source that hits the basics of the story so well. I can be sure to count on them to cover much more nuanced issues.

We might not agree on everything but I really enjoyed talking to @puppylove_sugarsteel. He seems like he would be the fast strategy best friend of one of my two dad's that went to UW or something. At first meeting, you only get a hint that there are some good stories from back in the day there, then progressively as the drinking and comradery set in they open up with the good chit about stealing booze from the chem e lab, banging co-eds as eskimo brothers, and getting tossed out of Canada during ski weekend etc. Looking forward to future casts with him and @steelheader2 along with @Swaye & @GrundleStiltzkin and whoever else I can finagle into guest podding.
