Demond and Penix are also just completely different beats in different offenses with different personal and Demond needs to improve as a passer. The OL struggling to dominate the LOS is one of my concerns from the game but yeah I think if they had committed to just pounding the rock with Coleman they definitely would have broken through eventually, ran the clock out, and with how much Coug was blitzing you probably hit some big runs where you catch blitzing the wrong hole. They probably also wear their defensive front down more and chunk yardage more and more as the game goes on.

I prefer how they attacked offensively though and they seriously just needed the defense to get a second stop to blow the game open, which they eventually did.

Ohio State is not going to put up a ton of big plays on offense. Their path to winning is running the ball and sustaining longer drives to keep the crowd out of it for their freshman QB making his first road start, and to keep the UW offense off of the field.

Who was the last young QB for a decent team to come into Husky Stadium and meltdown - Dorsey? I'm beginning to wonder if this is dated thinking. QBs come in much more polished to college football these days and offenses are better suited to make things easy for them. What I've watched of Sayin he just stands there with protection until the best WR and possibly the second best WR in college football get open - oh and he has a great TE.

Also, when Dorsey was in Seattle we had legit murderers and schizophrenic badasses on our defense. Our current defense was just shitting their pants against a guy named Zevi who did the Happy Gilmore down 7-21.
