You guys are fucking stupid. Both of these new offers are really talented. This kid is 5'11-6'0 with 4.4 speed in high school. He's aggressive and physical and attacks the ball. Top corner prospect for Utah who do a fantastic job finding these under the radar guys with NFL talent. What are you bitching about? Again, late offers doesn't mean guys suck! It also doesn't mean guys who were offered earlier are more talented than them.

Whether or not they're good isn't really the point. It would be one thing if we had been hiding these guys all year, recruiting them and getting them ready to visit in January. But no we're just offering guys who are available because we're desperate.

    Process > Results
This is literally the dumbest fucking thing I've ever seen. It's about the results over the process you idiot. I don't care how you get them or when you get them. Just get the best players you can that have NFL talent. That's it. That's the game. From there it's about coaching and developing better than your competition. Utah and UW are pretty damn good at evaluating and developing DB talent so obviously these kids are good and would be good takes.

And we're not desperate. We already singed three quality DB's. Every single one of them were top guys the rest of the conference wanted that UW beat out to get. We'd be fine just taking those guys in this class and being done. We don't need to reach for guys at all. But Jimmy doesn't sleep and wants to take as many DBs as UW is losing to maintain a deep depth chart of talent. Cool, fine with me.

Good process leads to replicable results. Replicable results are preferable to "oh well it worked out in the short term let's not worry about the future".
I think what is actually being argued that late offers isn't necessarily a bad process as it still has potential for very good results. Their coach even recognized that Jimmy lake doesn't just offer anyone. One advantage, perhaps, of the low number of offers uw puts out is that a late offer may have more preceived weight than of one just of desperation even if this reeks of desperate times.

Late offers and finding guys who continued to get better and better throughout their high school careers is a huge part of the process. The process is ongoing all the way through to the final Signing Day. This isn't throwing out offers to less talented, project guys and hoping they work out. This is finding NFL talent late in the process that you like as much or better than others you have already offered earlier in the process. Anything is replicable if you're good at evaluating talent. We can get guys like Joe Tryon or Mosiah Nasili-Liu every single recruiting cycle by offering them late. There's always top-flight talent out there that is overlooked every single cycle. Continuing to evaluate talent all the way through the process instead of being stuck on guys that were on the radar early is the process. Trust the process.

So @StrongArmCobra all these guys are better than Noa Pola-Gates and he’s just an overrated 4 star who the coaches could easily get but these guys are all better?

Most likely better, yes. Do you see any big boys going after Pola-Gates anymore? He's going to Nebraska.

And Henry is going to Tennessee for the same reason cuz Bama filled up. Does that make him suck? No we just didn’t stop recruiting him and guess what? He’s still choosing Tennessee over UDUB. Big boys don’t win recruiting battles if they don’t put in the work.

This is like 4 threads now where you’re getting your shit pushed in. Give up.
What's your fucking point? You're all over the fucking place bitching about random shit. Henry To'oto'o's recruitment does not at all equate to the recruitment of Pola-Gates. There's no similarities there at all.

Nobody wins every single recruiting battle. Henry is enamored with the big stage and passion of SEC football. Nothing wrong with that. Can't get them all.
