The problem is that the conclusion is lazy and doesn’t look at the facts as they happened. Instead, the conclusion was biased in a manner to fit an agenda. Curne had big offers come later and never seriously budged. That wasn’t mentioned anywhere and flies in the face of the opinion.dnc said:

Before you go back and continue referencing comments I made on Lake last December, I heavily caveated that by saying should the class fall on its face it’s a very real set of circumstances to possibly work through. I 100% stand by the comments. Locking him in at the time as DC going forward wasn’t seen as realistic by really anybody and was in fact an aggressive response to turn the narrative on its face. -
I was wrong. So very wrong.AtomicDawg said:
Good thing we offered late. Our offer meant something.StrongArmCobra said:ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!! We couldn't even get him up here on his official visit four fucking days from now! Sooo we said no to Delgado, then said no to Pittman, then lose to SC for Nacua, then lose to fucking TCU for Lewis ALL in a span of three FUCKING weeks! Total shit show. Ngata is going to Clemson and we're gonna end up with Tarik Luckett or some shit Plan-D guy like that. Fire Lubick.

Not the end of the world assuming we are ngata or bust. We have 6 quality recruits the past two years that are all soph or freshman.StrongArmCobra said:

I don't care if the kid is from Texas. We shouldn't lose to TCU for anybody! Not at least getting him in for an all expense paid visit this weekend is so weak. UW's campus and environment blow TCU out of the fucking water especially in the Summer. Lubick gambled and came up empty with FOUR WR's on the table. All the young talent we have is unproven. We don't know if any of them will be good or when they will be good. Eason and the QB's after him need weapons and we can't afford gaps in quality recruiting like we suffered with Pease and Strausser. It shouldn't be that fucking difficult to get three stud WR's every year with the head coach we have and the most talented QB room in the fucking country! If Lubick doesn't get Ngata I guarantee you he will be gone in favor of a young, black WR coach.AtomicDawg said:

3 wr's every year is too many on the roster at once. But yes you want to stack classes and our upperclassmen suck. Uw does have a lot to offer but I think you have a very inflated view of how cool Seattle/the campus is vs other colleges.StrongArmCobra said:

@AtomicDawg Really? TCU looks like a D2 school. There may be other campuses that can compete with UW but TCU isn't one of them.

Pretty convinced this is a big part of the issue at this point.Tequilla said:I think this is a big year for both Gregory and K with respect to recruiting. BUCK recruiting is a concern and the momentum here isn’t very good at all. For Gregory, can he stack solid classes here as the upper class talent at the position leaves you wanting more.
What I think you will see going into next year as Harris gains more of a foothold is Lake to take more a lead on BUCK recruiting as needed.
This of course assumes that the staff prioritizes BUCKS ... which while they seemingly fan out offers here more than anywhere else the way the position is used in our defense I’m not sure helps us in recruiting the position. -
I honestly don't disagree with this.FKA_Mousecop said:

Being from California the Rose Bowel berf might have some meaning to him.

He may be gettable ... TCUs class this year has had a lot of ups and downs ...reminds me of the class like 4-5 years ago after all the drug busts

Shows how much attention I pay to TCU recruiting

He decommitted back in October and has been around Texas and Baylor since then. Maybe Lubick is gonna go back to Baylor and actually stay for more than a month this time.Tequilla said:He may be gettable ... One of StrongRoofBallz' first takes and one of his first stakes to a player. Bumping because it's coming back around when literally no one was expecting it.StrongArmCobra said:I love this kid. He's 6'3.5 190 and this past month he was timed running a 4.32 and a 4.42 40 . Lubick was present at the camp he ran the 4.32 and that's why UW offered him pretty much on the spot. Texas offered two days later and Nebraska offered two days after them. He also has offers from TCU and Oklahoma State. So that's 5 top 10 coaches who are saying this kid ain't no motherfucking 3-star. He's elite.
Yeah yeah, I'm sure some of you are like "Who gives a fuck, he ain't coming here" but here's the thing...not only did UW cancel Pittman's official visit and replace it with an official visit with Lewis but Lewis recently deleted his Twitter account. Twitter is a key line of communication between recruits and coaches. A recruit only deletes his Twitter if recruiting was the only reason he had it and he no longer needs it because he knows where he wants to go.
Sure, he could have gotten his dream offer from Texas and knows he wants to go there and is just giving UW a charity visit. But I think it's more likely he knows where he wants to go and it's to the school he's officially visiting this weekend with his parents. This would be a huge steal for UW and an impressive pull by Lubick. I'm plopping my dick on the table and calling my shot right now. This kid will be a Dawg. A WR class of Davis, Lewis, and Ngata would rival any other WR class in the nation. All 6'2 to 6'4. All fast. All black.
A lot of times you're way too headstrong and like the smell of your own gas way too much, but every now and then you're right on target.
Props on this one, even if it goes no where. When everyone else was saying no chance in hell, you called your shot. -
What? It wasn't close to one of his? first takes. She? was here for a good chunk of last year's class. Hating MJ Ale, wishing we had Chris Warren instead of Gaskin, trying to run off Kalepo...all of those and many more came before this particular doogism on Lewis.DoogCourics said:

To be fair it wasn't just the shit takes. Ballz defended taking Tafisi and said we were taking him to get the ball rolling with the Polys and fuck if that wasn't spot the fuck on.
But still. -
Things change. Ballz was wrong before he was right. If you can't handle the ups and downs I suggest you get a new hobby.DoogCourics said:

I will say, you're correct. I've been drinking Tom Collins' the last few hours so even while writing StrongRoofBallz I forgot that Strong was previously here as Ballz.
I just looked at his profile and saw it was 4 days after signing up. Oversight on my part.
Edit:
To be fair to me as well, I did say he's headstrong and enjoys the smell of his own farts too much. And only every now and then he's on target. So I mean, I wasn't giving him full praise.
Edit #2:
I think I came on board around the time the original Ballz fagged out. -

As much as I like this kid and that we’re taking bigger kids as fall back options, but this is Paopao 2.0 to not get Ford and/or Ngata.
Kids are followers man. Look how the servite/LA kid connection has been with Julius, Keith, etc. or when we took Mosiah Nasili Liu to make other polys comfortable.
Watching Jake run our offense has killed interest in our offense and when you have the number 1 WR in 2020 Johnny Wilson who we’ve actually been perfect with step for step in recruiting, Kyle ford coming skyrockets his chances of coming to UDUB showing him that it’s ok to go to UDUB as a 5 Star. Just look at Amon-RA, JT and how they singlehandedly got Bru McCoy. Bru has never been in doubt because of them. Aaron Fuller and this kid don’t have pipeline ties
(“But we got spiker and Osborne” those kids are different personalities than Ford) -

He's now listed on the 247 Official Visits page to UW for the big weekend on December 14/15.
-
I hope he has some poly in him, maybe we get a woof
-
He's not a natural receiver. He's a freak athlete - but he fights the ball, definitely. If he could catch like Kyle Ford he'd be a 5-star.
-
I’ll take freak athletes all day err’yday

Sort of. Catching the ball is important. Right now I see a kid who is basically a slightly faster, slightly smaller Darrell Daniels.Peterman said:I’ll take freak athletes all day err’yday
