I'd feel safer if a few teachers on campus were knowingly armed, or had access to guns in strategically located gun safes within the school. Radical? Who GAF. Cowards like this crazy little fucker thrive when they know there won't be anyone shooting back at them. Let it be known that some teachers are well-trained and armed, and most of these shootings don't happen.

    This is your ideal society?
Pragmatic is the word you're looking for.
Personally, I think trying to solve the root problem is better than accepting guns in schools and teachers trained as shooters as pragmatic.
That's fair. How do you plan to solve the mental health crisis in America? More drugs clearly isn't working.

In the interim, we need a pragmatic solution that will work. This solution is the pink elephant the left doesn't want to talk about.
I think the mental health crisis is about societal conditions, and probably largely driven by media as some have said. That is an extremely complex problem that cannot be solved quickly.

But in the interim, in fact in the interim and beyond, I think a civilian ban on assault weapons/magazines is pragmatic. Standard capacity semi auto handguns and standard capacity recreational weapons can stick around with background checks and some level of pre-sale mandatory safety training. I don't think anyone will ever convince me that an assault weapon is practical and necessary outside of military or paramilitary use.

We did that on McHenry in Modesto in a '66 Buick Electra 225
    You and Lucas?
Back in his day it was 10th Street, not McHenry. He was Downey '63, I was Davis '86.

So you support a ban of assault weapons from local police forces? including federal agencies like Bureau of Land Management?

If so, I'm willing to trade.

If not, I'm going to cling to the 2nd Amendment with every fiber of my being.

Not cut mental health funding for one.

There were warnings from the shooter himself. FBI was notified. They were probably too busy running wire taps to do anything.

    http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/02/15/nikolas-cruz-school-shooter-comment-reported-to-fbi-months-ago-vlogger-says.html

What no one ever mentions is that almost all of the school shooters were on antidepressants. Listen to the warning speech during the next commercial for one. The problem is a mental health issue more than anything else. All the students knew this kid was a nut job. The school knew it as well. Now we know the FBI was warned about him and yet he carried out his plans.

The Israeli's in the 70's suffered numerous terrorist attacks at schools, school buses, field trips etc. They solved the problem. They armed some of the teachers. Terrorists didn't like their nice soft targets shooting back.

The mass shooting stats up above are misleading as everyone has a different definition of mass shooting, school shooting etc. Anti gun groups even count anything near a school.

I checked my guns this morning. They were all still where i left them. Hadn't killed anyone or left the premises. They are only as good, evil or crazy as the person using them.

    And for the Franny.

Stop trying to shed light on the real problem here, which is mental health.

It really detracts from Boobs and fleas simplistic blame it on Trump,Republicans and the mere existence of firearms.
You worthless fucking cunt. I simply said Trump was a fuckhead for easing restrictions on mentally ill people getting guns. Nothing more.

The rest of your cunty fucking post is just you being the retarded cunt you are.

It would be great if someone shot your dumb fucking ass instead of a bunch of kids.

    Go fuck yourself.
    I'm hearing water is wet.
