Honorable mention: 1992 Arizona. Win that one after the BJH news and I'm not sure that team falls apart. -

1990 UCLA. The NC was all but in the bag. Its impossible to overstate how brutal that loss was.
I was only 13 in 1984 when they lost and didn't GAF. Still don't though I realize the implications were just as big. -
Here's a random one to think about: Imagine beating Miami in 2001 instead of getting plungered 65-7. Not that it was ever going to happen, but a win by UW in that game in an alternate universe changes some things

That was a fucking brutal loss. The USC '84 game was bad, but at the time it wasn't abundantly clear it was costing us a Natty.
