President Snowflake

Statement from the WH regarding the appointment of the special counsel yesterday:
"As I have stated many times, a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know – there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity," Mr. Trump said in a statement issued by the White House. "I look forward to this matter concluding quickly. In the meantime, I will never stop fighting for the people and the issues that matter most to the future of our country."
From this morning:
He sounds scared. And guilty.

He has lawyers, doesn't he?
So I'm assuming that not only is he being a dumbass for continuing to tweet, but he's doubly a dumbass because his lawyers have certainly told him not to continue to tweet. -
Trump didn't get to where he is by listening to other people. This was my single biggest concern about him. He does what he wants, when he wants, and what happens after that he doesn't give a fuck. It's helped him be incredibly successful in business. It's not a recipe for success when you're a novice in a new field.AZDuck said:He has lawyers, doesn't he?

What's helped him be successful is inheriting millions of dollars and growing up with a silver spoon. The guy was born on home plate and acts like he hit a home run.dnc said:

There are plenty of people born with a silver spoon who don't go on to become Donald Fucking Trump. His dad was rich, he wasn't a fucking robber baron.insinceredawg said:

Trump deserves a lot of credit for his business success. -
There is nothing wrong with the statement or the tweets

How else do you explain why Trump supporters are perfectly content with him colluding with and allowing a foreign adversary to meddle in the campaign? Think this shit would fly if Russia was replaced with Nigeria?dnc said:

Russiagate is a wholly manufactured non scandal hatched when Hillary lost that had been investigated since July with NO proof at all.
And if you didn't have a problem with the husband of a target of an investigation who is a former President meeting with the AG days before his wife was let off despite documented criminal activity then you lose your precious fake moral high ground and end up being just who Trump says you are.
Not to mention the Nixon strategy of using the IRS to attack opponents and spying on a rival campaign
I have no issue with a full investigation of it all including Podesta ties to Russia and all the rest.
Trump is not going to be a Bush here. He is going to fight. Deal with it -
Yes. We're talking about mostly the same people who defended the Iran Contra. Nigeria would be much easier for most conservatives to stomach.insinceredawg said:

It sure wouldn't fly for them if it was the DNC colluding with the Rooskies though.
If you're too stupid to see there is bias here but it has shit to do with race that's on you.

All we need now is any proof of the collusion that is being peddled as fact here. The only documented collusion with Russia is the open mike in 2012 between Obama and the Ambassador, Podesta getting paid by Russia, the Clinton Foundation taking money form Russia in return for 20% of the uranium among other things.
Before Trump won Obama and Hillary were laughing at the idea of any influence or rigging of the elections.
Deal with it. -
You're not wrong that Hillary is corrupt, a total shill, and likely didn't deserve to get off scot free. I hate her and the Democrats are dumb for whining about the Electoral college when they literally intentionally cleared the path for Hillary to win the primaries.RaceBannon said:Russiagate is a wholly manufactured non scandal hatched when Hillary lost that had been investigated since July with NO proof at all.

However, the election is over. Pointing fingers at Hillary doesn't mean jack shit anymore. Trump won. Get over it.
There isn't direct proof (like, evidence of Trump taking orders from Putin or something), but there is a lot of circumstantial evidence, in my humble opinion. Unless, of course, you are one of the cultists that thinks anything negative about Trump is fake news. -

God I wish these boreds had been around during Whitewater. The crazy thing is, these independent counsel investigations invariably put people in jail. Even Whitewater got convictions. You gotta figure that Carter Page and Michael Flynn are pretty much dead men walking at this point. If evidence emerges that AG Sessions engaged in behavior he did not disclose, or if he worked on the Russia thing after he allegedly recused himself, he could be in hot water too. Trump? Unless the GOP turns on him en masse, he'll deny everything, bunker himself up in the White House, and ride this thing out.
-
Why would we ignore obvious corruption that went unpunished because there was no independent investigation to focus on an investigation that has nothing? It is very Germaine Jackson to point out the hypocrisy and the attempt to waylay a democratically elected president with a "resistance" centered around lies and an endless attempt to investigate nothing?jhfstyle24 said:

If you are such a moral crusader for truth and justice you don't get to pick what you care about.
There is no proof. This started based off a fake document prepared by the Clinton campaign.
Trump has every right to defend himself against this -
Every administration has throwaway's.
I love how everyone is talking about only the issues Trump chooses to Tweet about and nobody talks about his agenda of discovering and purging Swamp Rats in Government which is happening daily -
The reasonable assumption at this time is we don't if there was collusion or not. It may well turn out that there was some sketchy relationships between Trump's people and Russia, but no quid pro quos and not a serious scandal. What is fact is that the hacks by Russia did occur and that alone merits a serious investigation.
My issue with Trump at this point (aside from policy stuff) is that he's turned out to be pretty much what many of us though he would be as POTUS- i.e., an impulsive, incompetent boob. He sounds to me less like a fighter, but a 70 year old whinny, baby. You don't get to do 8 years of birther crap, throw all the bombs that he did in 2016, and then go on to bitch and moan about how you are being more unfairly treated than any other politician in history.
-
Actually in America the reasonable assumption is innocent until proven guilty or at least until there is more than nothing but hot air by political opponents.
Trump can defend himself all he wants regardless of the birther thing or anything else. And he is going to.
If you can't see the difference in how the media treats him I can't help you. -

You call whining and complaining on Twitter like a spoiled little brat, "fighting"? Trump sounds like a petulant child who's never been told no or dealt with any adversity. Don't forget, your hero is a draft dodger who was too scared to go to Vietnam.RaceBannon said:

I think you are correct in saying we shouldn't ignore corruption. I already said that Hillary deserved at least more than she got. She wasn't innocent. Do I think she needs to go to jail? Hard to tell. My point was that it seems like you want to point fingers to prove that Trump isn't guilty, rather than him taking responsibility for his actions.RaceBannon said:

However, I would like to point out that there were multiple investigations into Hillary's e-mails and into Benghazi. I don't think there was any point in the millions of tax dollars wasted, because although she was probably guilty, she didn't get in trouble. Was she a corrupt shill? Yes. Was she a national traitor? Probably not.
Like I said, there is no DIRECT proof. There is circumstantial evidence- like Trump firing Comey in the middle of an investigation into Russia- but no direct proof. Hence, there is an investigation to determine if there IS in fact direct proof, rather than the current circumstantial evidence. In this case, it is my personal belief that, like with Hillary, there is enough smoke that it is likely for there to be fire. This is a dude who is dumb enough to claim that he doesn't exercise because he thinks it will drain his energy and shorten his life span, when in fact the results are the exact opposite. Trump might actually be enough of a buffoon to leak confidential information.
