    Does he call plays as a "co-DC"? There's your answer. Cal sucks, but being an actual DC would certainly be progressing his career and is certainly a better job than being a position coach at UW.

    But getting back to the actual topic, none of that is to say he doesn't turn down the opportunity and wait for a better one to come along in the future. I'd bet money that Lake is still here next year.

    I blame @Dennis_DeYoung. He was supposed to run over Babushka and Kawasaki (I like him) that would have allowed us to keep Lake and get a new OC.

    He's buddies with Wilcox. He wants to be a DC. I think he should've waited, but obviously he thinks Cal DC is going to springboard him to a HC job.

    You would think in-division 2 weeks before signing day would be a little much, but I guess not... He's a fucking genius coach though.

    Cal's getting the best position coach we've ever had.
