Hope not, but then what?
-
Heard if from COKER first. Lake has been SILENT on twitter ever since the Cal job came open, probably was talking with Wilcox.
-
That would be horrible. Not sure I really buy it though.
-
Gerald Alexander is likely next in line.
-
Lol he isn't Kim said it
-
It's like cheating off the class retard on a test..

@CokeGreaterThanPepsi Is Justin Glenn involved involved?CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Gerald Alexander is likely next in line.

I trust Petersen to be able to find a good replacement.
Actually, maybe not...Smith is still here...
-
If he does he will have fun getting plungered every year!
-
Lake ain't leaving for Cal. He's already a co coordinator. When the time comes the opportunity he's jumping at will make a lot of sense and this ain't it.
-
Like i said the class retard is reporting this lol... it's KJV LIPO before jumping to conclusions...DawgFader said:Lake ain't leaving for Cal. He's already a co coordinator. When The time comes the opportunity he's jumping at will make a lot of sense and this ain't it.

I am fucking seriously having a panic attack. We absolutely cannot lose lake this year. Given how inexperienced our secondary is.
-
We won't, it would be a lateral move... Pete will re-up him, LIPO before fagging the fuck out.WeakarmCobra said:I am fucking seriously having a panic attack. We absolutely cannot lose lake this year. Given how inexperienced our secondary is.

As long as these rumors are flying...

I'm shaking and about to vomit

The student has become the teacher.

It all depends on how Lake looks at it. If he becomes DC at Cal and the defense is much improved (hard not to be) he's getting interviews for head coaching jobs that he's probably not getting if he stays at UW.
If he fails at Cal he will still be a coveted DB coach after what he did at UW.
Money wise it's probably lateral. The downside might be greater, but it's not necessarily a lateral move. -
Lake made $500,000 last year. The top of the PAC-12 Cordinator market is $750,000. USC (faggy wink) and Stanfords coaching salaries aren't made public.
Cal is fucking broke and Lake would need $600,000 to stay even with what he made this year, factoring California state income tax and the high cost of living in the Bay Area.
But a PAC-12 Cordinator title and $800,000 probably gets the deal done.

PLEASE NO

Am I overthinking this? Wouldn't Gregory make a lot more sense as the new DC for Cal? Or Peter Sirmon?
-
he never specified the name.
Let's hope it's johnny smith and we can all celebrate -
tosh luopi is going to get that d-coord job.
im actually serious here. -
No way Cal can pay to get Jimmy Lake, Sirmon, or Gregory to be DC...they are broke, have to pay Sonny "Toughest Team (not mine) Wins" Dykes, and going to have to pay Wilcox significant $$$. They are going to have to get cheap, up and coming guys as coordinators, especially on the defensive side where Wilcox already has experience. Wilcox would be stupid to blow his limited coaching budget wad on a DC.
And that DC job isn't going to get Jimmy or anyone else visibility because if Cal's D does well Wilcox gets the credit because he's a D coach, and if they don't they will be door-ass-out and blamed (instead of Wilcox).
And Cal is a graveyard for coaches...even Wilcox would be an idiot to take that job.

some guy at sportsline said smith is a candidate for OC.
I think Hamdan and Lake are the two we could least afford to lose.
If it's smith then it's an absolute godsend.
No chance it's Kawasaki clearly -
$800,000 to be a god damn co-ordinator of an amateur football team
only in merica -
