Cig on the verge of being on college football coach Mt Rushmore.

Demond needs to watch Trinidad play. Rat ball at its finest. It’s his only chance.
-
Trinidad isn't a midget and has a better arm.
-
Demond was an Ole Miss commit before Arizona. Easy to picture him out there.
-
It feels so wide open if you have reasonable lines and a QB that can see.
Ole Miss QB rolling all over and scrambling last night … he’s 6’1”
Nothing is depressing me more about UW FB right now than being stuck with the current QB situation.
I think we should start calling him d-MOND
He’s the little d and the MOND is the huge wall of people in front that he can’t see over.

Good takes but I'm struggling to think of more than 1 QB (Texas Tech) you've watched the last few days about whom one could reasonably say is not at least at Demond's level. I even include Beck in the conversation and I hate him.
Going ALL THE WAY back to the beginning of the season when I got run over by a Canadian Husky ( @Canadawg ) for mocking Meyer's comment about Demond, I will say again that what you? have in Demond Williams is a kid who has some arm talent and a ridiculous burst but is too short to make a living out of the pocket and who has thus far shown to have below average pocket awareness and instincts, and that's not an athleticism issue; it's there or it's not. I can imagine someone smart building an offense around him that suits his talents more that the one he has played in thus far. And I acknowledge his physical gifts. But I have found him to be one of the least impressive Huskies. The game is right now and you don't have 4 years to develop a QB anymore. He's had enough snaps such that he should be better than he is. Sometimes it gets better; just as often, it doesn't.

I agree with this. I think Demond is talented, but not special enough to warrant having an entire offense built around him, which is what Fisch tried to do this year. Fisch is treating him like Lamar Jackson, but Lamar Jackson 5 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier but still just as fast as Demond.
-
dMOND is no Lamar Jackson.
Not. Even. Close. -
Yep fair. In my defense he got worse this year from the high point of his clutch sun bowl loss
I have a definite hope that he can raise his floor in the off season but as of right now I'm super worried about him being the unchallenged QB1 next year
-
w/o question there should be somebody on the roster pushing his ass for QB1. competition is a miracle drug and I actually see a universe in which Demond feels the wolf nipping at his heels and becomes a monster. but the Huskies need another option to build up the pressure on DW and either replace him or force him to be better.
