The GOP lost the midterms on abortion not Trump

Nominating 6 week Ron seems dumb

Yep. They lost 2020 on Covid. Ron won big in 2022 because he was right on Covid. But he wasn't right in lots of eyes in 2020. Timing matters here. Anti-abortion isn't suddenly going to become popular in 2024.

Why would women like 6 week Ron better?

That’s not the question and you know it. Trump had a decency problem in 2020. Over 60% of likely voters thought so. I’ve yet to see where RDS has the same issue.

Maybe a tape surfaces or some rando woman files a lawsuit. Or he starts calling women journalists names. There’s still tim.

Six week Ron took a stand. Trump uses Leftist talking points thinking that he’s gonna escape Roe v Wade. Profile in courage. He’s not.
they haven't turned fake news and looney people loose on RDS yet with false allegations and made up law suits/charges. They will if he runs and he'll have the same problem.

Trump also told The Messenger that Republicans need to improve their messaging on abortion.

"First of all, I'm a believer in the exceptions, right? And just as Ronald Reagan was a believer in the exceptions, but I'm a believer in the exceptions … the life of the mother, raping, and incest," Trump told the outlet.

"The other thing I really believe is that the radicals are people that would have a baby destroyed, killed at the end of the ninth month or even after birth."

Trump added that his Supreme Court nominees led to last year's overturning of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion nationally.

"What it did more than anything else is it gave us a tremendous power of negotiation, which we didn't have, the pro-life movement, a tremendous power of negotiation," he told The Messenger. "Now the pro-life movement has the power to negotiate a deal that's acceptable for them."

Trump was reminded that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a six-week abortion restriction law.

"Well, he has to do what he has to do," Trump said of DeSantis. "If you look at what DeSantis did, a lot of people don't even know if he knew what he was doing. But he signed six weeks, and many people within the pro-life movement feel that that was too harsh.

"I'm looking at all alternatives. I'm looking at many alternatives. But I was able to get us to the table by terminating Roe v. Wade. That's the most important thing that's ever happened for the pro-life movement."

Hey the GOP has a women problem.

    Let’s solve it with Trump!

RDS is a decent family man.

Trump wins rather easily without Covid fear porn. The suburb moms wanted more authoritarianism since we had do something!
I’m dying to hear your proof this would have been the case.

Shutdown Ron managed COVID in FL even with all the slings and arrows from the Left and the corrupt media.

    He won a landslide victory.
Covid in 2020 was a vastly different voting issue than in 2022. You are better than that.
Weird that Trump wants to make it an issue for 2024 then.

    “Lockdown Ron.”

    He’s better than that.
Not all that bad of a campaign issue to bring back the moms whose kids are essentially two years behind in their education and probably a decade out of whack in their maturity.

Some of us have been saying this for awhile. If it worked to destroy Trump then why stop

DeSantis is a possibly great governor but does this play? Adds to the book burning don't say gay fake narrative

If we got the federal government out of the student loan business and made it dischargeable in bankruptcy like Trump's business debts then we wouldn't have to regulate ethnic studies. They would then be a program that no private lender would make a loan based on future student earnings and the risk of the kids taking a runner on the debt once graduated or flunked out.

Voters have been pretty resistant to common sense

I'm serious about what DeSantis is doing in Florida. It's been great.

Not sure how it plays against the volume turned up to 11 nationally

I'd rather have a DeSantis in Olympia than Trump in the white house

A normal person might say - there are plenty of citizens sitting on their ass who could fill the gap. Democrats cheer truckers not delivering to Florida

Empty shelves Biden was perfectly normal. Two days after a law was signed and the world is ending
