You are trying too hard to ignore that oil and gas requires drilling and federal and state permits. No fracking in New York. They are fracking and making billions in Pennsylvania. The green gaia religionists would ban technological innovation (fracking for example) and new pipelines to get the oil and gas from the middle of nowhere to somewhere. Then tax the sh*t out of what gets produced. Technological innovation can occur under Cho Bai Den. But he and his puppet masters will harm the American private sector and energy consumers.YellowSnow said:

I suggest you join @GrundleStiltzkin 's new book club. Energy independence comes from technological innovation. Not whether Bush, Obama, Trump or Biden is president.Sledog said:Energy independence is now gone. Check the price at the pump.

But the technological innovation which made us become energy independent happens regardless of who is President.
Humans are some smart monkeys, especially when they're in America and there is a buck to be made.

So canceling leases in Louisiana and put many thousands out of work didn't matter either? Stopping fracking? All have an impact.

Lot of people trying too hard to deny we fucked the dog this election
It matters. Biden is weak and China knows it even if you don't want to admit it -

Hi @GreenRiverGatorz -
In the real world, the US should hold all the cards. The chicom debt situation is even worse than ours. Trump's tariffs were a good start and you could tell because of the chicom reaction along with bought and paid for dems and some republicans. In 1940 the French actually had more tanks than the Germans - they just spread them out all over rather than using them as the tip of the spearhead like the Germans. The France lost as a result of poor leadership and lack of will. The French General, Gamelin, reminds me of Fow Chee. Pedigreed and massively incompetent.

I'm not trying too hard to ignore anything. Of course a GOP Administration is going to be more friendly to oil and gas production than a Democratic one. But the fact remains that the biggest and most rapid increase in US oil production occurred in spite of a Democratic administration. When Obama got into office, US production was 5.0 million per day. By 2015 it was 9.4 million per day.WestlinnDuck said:

The Donkeys can blabber on all they want about climate. It didn't prevent the oil and gas from getting out of the ground in such copious amounts as to make the US energy independent again. In other words, Obama didn't build that, rather it just happened. -

They are also dependent on us to be consumers, at least for the time being.YellowSnow said:Good piece Stalin. As much concern as we must have over China's "rise", it is important to remember that we can still hurt them worse than they can us if it ever came to a shooting war. The US is energy independent. China is not. We've seen that movie before in the Orient.
