Waitaminute ... This is the offense that has no need for tight ends right?!KrunkJuice said:Let's go Jack!!

Yeah, that's why he's not going there, and we're losing a recruiting battle to Oregon. Try to keep up.animate said:

Expect a quakk soon, he just committed

We should have pushed his visit to January when we have our new OC and offensive staff in place. I'm sure the uncertainty on that side of the ball is why he decided to hold off. I don't think we're out of it yet as long as we make a good hire. Not having a visit in January is going to be tough though.NorwegianHusky said:

Murrieta Valley (Calif.) tight end Jack Yary took an official visit to Washington over the weekend but is in no hurry to make a decision.
Yary is planning to sign in February so he has plenty of time to sort everything out. He committed to USC back in May but backed off his pledge and re-opened his recruitment in November.
He was supposed to take an official visit to UCLA two weeks ago but was sick and had to postpone the trip. This past weekend, the talented tight end took official visit No. 1 to see Washington.
“It was a good trip, I really liked it there,” Yary said. “The family atmosphere really stood out for me. Everyone I met was really nice and sincere and I fit in really well there.
“The biggest selling point from the coaches was the offense and how well the tight end is used. They feature the tight end a lot and have playing time available. The word class education was another big selling point so at UW, it’s the best of both worlds, academics and football.”
Husky wide out Marquis Spiker was Yary’s player host.
“He was great, all the players were great with me,” Yary said. “They all took me in and made me feel like part of the Husky family. The players were awesome to be around and showed us around town and I had a great time.
“I’m still planning to wait until February to sign, that was always the plan. I have January visits with USC and UCLA still so I’m going to take those and then I’ll be ready to make a decision.”
Yary had a big senior season and saw his stock soar as a result. He was known more as a blocking tight end and potential future left tackle prior to the season. After seeing him in action this past year, he's definitely a tight end and talented enough to have an early impact where he signs.
His ranking shot up and he was elevated to four-star status and is the No. 220 prospect nationally by 247Sports. He's big, physical, has soft hands, runs well and is a much more fluid athlete then we originally gave him credit for. -
Bump because I wonder wtf is going on with this kid.

Most likely scenario, he settles and signs with USC.Swaye said:Bump because I wonder wtf is going on with this kid.

USC vs Iowa looked like a graveyard for TE. Harrell is just not interested in TE utilization.
