If Oregon lands Noah Sewell, I'd love to see him at half back.
Oregon will finally have a back who can run pistol in benson next year. Of course, Arroyo will be gone (hopefully) by then so we’ll be back to zone read

    Petersen's offense sucks.

But with Oregon it's Awwoyo! All Awwoyo! It's his offense. Not meatball mario! He just wants a TUFF team!!!!

The UW offense has under-performed under multiple OCs. Arroyo wasn't even Cristobal's hire. Taggart hired Arroyo, which says a lot. If Cristobal hires a replacement (wait till he gets his guy in there hardy har har) and it still sputters, yeah, Cristobal owns it.

This. Mario got rid of one inherited coordinator and made an A+ hire. Time to do the second this offseason

There was enough evidence last season to warrant Arroyo's firing. The problem is that he's Cristobal's close friend. Cristobal probably wanted to keep him on this year for that reason, to get his buddy a fat paycheck before he's fired.

    Speaking of....

After spamming this bored non-stop for the last few months, he's been eerily quiet tonight. What gives?

My wife had two cancer surgeries for ovarian Cancer. Thank you for your concern.

Some of us old Woodshed denizens from the old Educk also have our own small board.

They’re not close friends at all...no clue where you heard that. Cristobal almost canned him last off-season but didn’t want turnover going into Herbert’s last season on offense. Mario is probably realizing that was a mistake already. Arroyo is almost certainly gone after this season.

So he didn't want turnover or change from last year's coug game, from last years Arizona game? Pairing an FS OC with an FS QB = the offensive results we saw on the field last year, what we're seeing on the field this year. Arroyo is a high school level OC. Hebert is a dunce who likes to throw low percentage deep balls more than he likes throwing short, complete-able passes for first downs. The offense is a mess, and doesn't represent Oregon football well.

So by what postulate do you know that all coaching dysfunction is the same everywhere. Does the context not vary from situation to situation?

Cristobal is a line coach. He doesn't have some big history as the offensive coordinator guy. You get that with a guy like, say, Spurrier. You get that on the defensive side with a guy like, say, Bob Stoops or Pete Carroll. Guys who have a well-earned track record doing that thing a particular way.

Pete gets the "his offense sucks" tag because it's assumed (I myself have no idea, or care) that he's really pulling the strings for the offense. Cristobal is not assumed to be doing the same, and that seems like a safe assumption.

But, I leave you with this question: why does it matter? Whether the HC does or does not tinker with their coordinators, they are responsible for everything at the end of the day. I can't believe you, of all people, are here whining that Mario doesn't get enough blame. Trust me: if the offense leads them to a 7-4 season, it will fall on Cristoball's desk just as sure as it would fall on Petersen's.

In all of the debates we've had, this is, by far, your weakest position. It shows you more as a Cristo-hater; and not as a reasoned observer who has anything useful to say about him one way or the other.

He's not my boyfriend, so please, critique away. But for Christ's sake bring something to the table.

So nothing to add. Got it.

Not my boyfriend. Just bring something. Anything. But "Oregon fans aren't mad enough at Cristo" just doesn't make it. It's stupid and pointless. HC owns everything where I come from.
