NO GIFS FOR YOUBLUE CHIP THIS MOTHERFUCKERCAN'T WAIT FOR 2021MIGHT AS WELL HAVE PULLED OUT THE WHITE HELMETSFUCKING LOSERSThe State of the ProgramIn honor of the looming 9-11 anniversary, the Washington Huskies blew up the season late Saturday night and early Sunday morning at the Montlake Cut alongside East Queen Anne, by losing to Cal for the second straight year in a display of offensive ineptitude that had the 1984 team stifling laughter at it.
Once again our local 11 was not ready for the physical nature of the Cal Bear attack and went meekly into the dark and stormy night.
But we have more blue chips!!! We have LEVELED UP!!!
Let's look into that.
Friday night was the big opening to the weekend as Eastside West Kennedy Catholic Junior College faced off against Bethel in a nationally televised high school match up. All everything Savell Smalls was knocked out of the game early and did not return. Will Latu is a D 1 football player. You don't need a recruiting service to see that. The rest of the field was kids who will never play a game past high school. So what do you really learn? Recruiting is finding guys that won't melt at the sight of a rosy cheek fat fuck trash talking Cal defensive lineman. Or take three quarters to show up at a Rose Bowl. Or drop everything thrown at him like its hot.
Coaching is building a CULTURE of toughness even in the soft times in which we live. Teams simply are not going to line up twice a day in August and hit each other full speed in full pads. The game would not survive if it was still coached the way the tough coaches of old built tough teams that could survive tough times.
Which brings us to Sam Huard and 2022 being special. If he was named Sam Hobart I'd feel a lot better. I have Huard PTSD. Yes, young Sam is a central casting QB with a big arm and he is only a junior. Any team would want him.
In 1992 after Hobart got suspended the DAWGS played Oregon State to wrap up the Rose Bowl after losing to Arizona. It was a blowout and Damon Huard got some mop up time and threw a beautiful bomb to Theron Hill and in the stands we all high fived and talked about how we were going to be just fine going forward.
Look, Damon could play and had a long NFL career as a back up but at UW he went on to invent football at Oregon.
Then comes Brock. When Lambo figured out that Brock and Corey Dillon should start the Huskies went 9-2 just missing the Rose Bowl. Brock was central casting, the perfect quarterback with the big arm and Teutonic features.
Alas Grant Wistrom broke him and he became back foot Brock eventually throwing 5 interceptions as the Cuogs danced on the Husky Stadium field in 1997.
Let's just say I'm taking a wait and see approach to Huard III.
I don't want to hear about recruiting. I don't want to hear about leveling up. The future is now and this is the only season that matters.
Petersen needs to figure out why his teams are so fucking soft. This is the UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON damnit and we play tough old fashioned hard nose football. If you don't produce you can sit on the bench.
Enough of the bullshit. Fix it or get the fuck out.

Uh its a high school game
High school? Ok good night
It would have been better to get caught watching porn
[Question from Mrs. Creep with a hint of skepticism: "Hey. Is this game happening right now?"
Sure, that's a weird question, except she knows I watch old games all the tim.
"Uh, yeah, it is."
"Wait, the season started already?"
"Uh, no, but, yeah, it did."
She thinks I'm insane to re-watch games and seems to be pretty good at knowing when I'm doing it even though she doesn't know or care a fucking lick about football.
During his tenure @ UW, Petersen has proven that his game time decision making is mediocre at best, especially in close games: 2014 @ UA (@TheChart), 2015 @ Boise, 2018 vs Auburn, 2018 @ 0reg0n, and now 2019 vs Cal, all stand out as examples.
The only win that could be considered an upset was 2015 @ SC.
Not to mention his bowl games record.
The man who coached one of the most memorable games in college football history (2007 Fiesta Bowl) is not the same coach we? see now, that's for damn sure.
Don beat Texas in the Sun Bowl and Michigan in the Rose Bowl
There is plenty of room above the bar that James set. That's where I would prefer Pete aim.
Some years are like that regardless if its year 6 or 2. Not every trajectory is straight up.
You hope that by recruiting better players you can avoid major rebuilds like we hoped this year.
Doesn't always work
I could see a series of close frustrating losses because we are still mentally weak
