    Read an article (might have been posted here) awhile back about how in China if you hit somebody with your car you back up and hit them again, and again because vehicular homocide isn't a big deal but if they live you're paying their medical bills for the rest of their lives.

    Did you save the guys life who was hit by the bus?
    Often when one is hit by a car in China, the driver will go ahead and back up over the ped again to finish the job as to avoid liability.

    This isn't 1999, they're already done with that whole third world redevelopment thing. They can compete with anyone. They have a scared shitless population that is simultaneously extremely well educated. Their children outperform ours. They attend our world renowned universities. They don't blink twice about cheating, either at the personal or state level. Meanwhile our population can't even agree on what constitutes a basic fact. China is whooping our ass.
    Their education scores are hilariously inflated. Sure, the average child attending a private international school in Beijing does better than the average American student. Go spend some time in anything that isn't elite rich China and you can see they are still less than a generation removed from 3rd world education.

    Jesus you guys buy a lot of CCP propaganda if you think China is still even a fart in the wind close to catching the US even with all of the cheating. That's the only way they can remotely stay in the game not the way they are going to win 34-17.
    But I’m hearing on the tug we have to beat China “at their own game.” Tariffs and protectionism. Why does the US need to beat China at their own game when we already have them beat?
    CDawg I thought we'd already come to terms on this. Just because in the long run their model is unsustainable doesn't mean we have to let them steal more than a trillion dollars a year to prop it up in the short run. Tariffs will force either them to reform or to collapse. Classic CCP Win-Win for us.

    Yeap, and they are aging rapidly because of the 1 child policy while the US is the only meaningful developed nation with a positive growth of young working age adults because of demographics and immigration.

    They are about to have over 250 Million people who are elderly with little savings looking for government care. It's like Japan's aging problem but on steroids.

    They have severely handicapped themselves with the one child idiocy and they will have a hard time recovering since those born and allowed to live were predominantly boys. They'll be all two dad households. Hard to regrow that population and they'll all be attorneys or politicians. They're doomed!
