Same shit was said about Japan, ze Germans, and then all the Asian tigers, and then the Eurozone.

I'm the biggest China alarmist here but they aren't going to eat our lunch unless we let them.

So the idea is that the US abandons principles, values, income, wealth and global leadership in open markets and free trade in order to teach an already defeated competitor a lesson they won’t soon forget!?Truly the essential essence of trumptardism is revealed in this quest.

There's a key difference you're ignoring. There's over a billion of those motherfuckers.
It took the US about 60 years for our 65+ population to go from 7% to 14% (when you hit 14% the society is considered “aged”). The Chinese in part because of the one child policy will do it in a little over 20 years. They will be crushed by demographics.

No doubt the folly and ignorance of trumptardism in general and the trade war with china specifically makes sense to you. Someday I’m sure you’ll be able to explain it.

I don't need 5 pages to tell you the world has always had an empire or top dog and we are all better off having America at number 1

Stop teaching self loathing and lets beat these uh Chinese at their own game.

We can never beat them at their own game. Their game is undying loyalty to the state, violation of any and all global norms, and, most importantly, the willingness to subsidize any domestic company to artificially compete with other international players. You can't beat them when they play by their rules and you play in a "free market". Not even Bob's worst caricature of a democrat could put us on an even playing field.
    That describes most Americans.

Their game is the long game. The third world development is something we did in the cold war as did the USSR.

    Now its China

It would be going backwards to be on an even field with them

We will rot from within like England before anyone beats us but the result is the same

America has to keep that we can do anything spirit. Not embrace self loathing and defeatism

This isn't 1999, they're already done with that whole third world redevelopment thing. They can compete with anyone. They have a scared shitless population that is simultaneously extremely well educated. Their children outperform ours. They attend our world renowned universities. They don't blink twice about cheating, either at the personal or state level. Meanwhile our population can't even agree on what constitutes a basic fact. China is whooping our ass.
Their education scores are hilariously inflated. Sure, the average child attending a private international school in Beijing does better than the average American student. Go spend some time in anything that isn't elite rich China and you can see they are still less than a generation removed from 3rd world education.

Jesus you guys buy a lot of CCP propaganda if you think China is still even a fart in the wind close to catching the US even with all of the cheating. That's the only way they can remotely stay in the game not the way they are going to win 34-17.
But I’m hearing on the tug we have to beat China “at their own game.” Tariffs and protectionism. Why does the US need to beat China at their own game when we already have them beat?

60%+ of Chinese citizens live in harsh third world conditions.
