Things change all the time. The likelihood of Cam Williams basically coming in and playing like Taylor Rapp did as a true Freshman was extremely low. It's not over for Haener 2020, so I think he sticks around. Eason prob goes pro, and hopefully Sirmon or Morris take the job, but Haener will again be the incumbent. I dont think Huard starts day 1 if one of these guys does a good job in 2020. Huard redshirting wouldnt be terrible, then starting as a RS frosh or soph.
I think Yankoff should switch positions. -

Process vs. Results
It's shitty process to rely on a Freshman to come in and play like a game changer even if we ended up with good results this time(which is still TBD btw).
We should have at least 2 guys of Cam Williams level talent battling it out for the open starting spot and they both should have already been in the program a year, redshirt or otherwise.
Though I also realize there are some mitigating factors that you can defend the process from but there is a reasonable poont of criticism buried in there. -

He had no complaints about the process of making that cake (recruiting of safeties.)
In fact in the Julius Irvin thread he said we were fine and didn't need Irvin because Molden or Kyler could move to safety. -

Neither he nor Fuller can break a tackle or fight off tight coverage but he has more speed and quickness than Fuller giving him more versatility- namely the ability to get open deep. With Eason's arm I'd like to see more Baccellia and less Fuller. -
I'm definitely not going to be responsible for all the haught takes he's made about the position and I've definitely been in the "the secondary will be fine" camp but there's a minor point of shall we call it, "room for improvement" with safety depth and I think most of us recognized it even if we didn't go full retard over it.FremontTroll said:

Eason has elite physical tools but hadn’t seen live action in nearly 2 years. Haener was a dutiful backup last year and Pete was going to give him the first team reps he “earned”. Eason was always going to be eased back into the reps because he hadn’t “earned” anything yet and it wasn’t going to be given to him.
But to meltdown in fucking April because Haener was getting the majority of the first team reps was fucktarded. But there was and is zero fucking chance he was going to accept Eason as a transfer (when he rarely takes transfers) and not give the kid with the highest ceiling the job.
Pete may be stubborn and may learn slowly, but he always learns and adjusts. And 4 years of a physically limited QB stunting the offense was a long enough lesson. -
Yes I did. My whole fucking point was Jimmy's shit safety recruiting putting us in a desperate situation in which we need a Freshman to play at a high level for us which is rare. Go back and read the fucking script. And yes, if Kyler and/or Molden had been moved to safety when they showed up we would be fine at safety. There was a lot of consternation in recruiting forum during 2017 season and 2018 recruiting period over safety depth after Love went off deep end.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Ballz was hand waving the issue away.
By the time we get to 2019 Spring Camp the "Process" of building depth is over. There is nothing to be done for 2019.
Yet there goes Ballz on Day 1 of Spring Camp complaining about the half-baked result of our initial alignment. As if it wouldn't change as the best players emerged.
