    I admit, I dont know jack shit about baseball and my friend in that industry says the same that batting avg is not a good stat. But when did that change? I don't remember people disputing BA 10 or 15 years ago. If you had at least a few guys hitting above 300, you'd have a better offense.

    OBP/SLG are both better measures of an offense imo.
    The Mariners suck in both as well, go figure.
    Although I do love the 6 walks they've drawn today

    In all seriousness the team probably isn't that good but 3 in a row at oakland is damn impressive
