I think the focus of the programs has been helpful in getting kids noticed, and scholarships. That being said I think it's clear there are some huge ego's running these locations. The fact some of these kids lead with FSP or Heir on recruiting edits is interesting.
This whole industry reeks of egos, money grabs, and corruption.
Eklund put in a 6-inch crystal dong for the 4* Safety recruit Jordan Sanford out of Texas. Obviously it doesn't mean much coming from Eklund, but that would be another big get. The combo of him and Holmes would be a great safety class
That would be an impressive haul from Texas with this kid and James. Helps soften the blow of completely shitting the bed in state.
I always question 4* recruits with limited offer sheets though. This kid is a 4* in the DFW metroplex and his top two are UW and TCU. Doesn't quite pass the sniff test. Need @Tequilla to weigh in.
The in-state stuff at this point is borderline laughable
The doog narrative on DM and Discord are it's Jimmy's fault for poisoning the relationships with the local schools and 7v7 programs. That could be partially true but I don't think KDB should be blameless in this shit show. They had a chance to go suck off Tracy and Reggie before Lanning arrived in Eugene but instead they were throwing out hail mary offers to kids all over the country. I refuse to believe that if they had gotten all in on the local recruits that we'd be seeing this type of exodus. This is 3 years in a row where UW completely misses on the top in state talent.
It’s been an issue for 3 coaches now (Pete to the least extent) so at this point it’s likely more systemic than coach specific
That said the worst thing we could have done was hire/fire Thomas Ford … gives Tracy some built in ammo
Other than Foster Sarrell I can't recall any top in state recruits that CP really wanted and whiffed on. I think he would've gotten Emeka and JTT if he was still around too.

The staff didn’t have a good relationship with those 7on7 staffs, but it didn’t matter because they were winning so the croots still wanted to come.

Could be that he's a bit undersized compared to some other safety prospects. Film looks great, especially in pass defense.
Big week for Huff with 3 OL commits after Micah dropped us last week. I'm still skeptical about his coaching abilities but at least he appears to have his recruiting mojo back.

Achieving this group with arguably one of the most underachieving OL performances I’ve ever seen is almost a miracle. If they win this year and the line performs well, Huff should be able to corral talented classes moving forward. He’s proven to be a dang good recruiter, now he has to hold onto these kids.

Huff needs to develop a line that doesn't lose 6 yards on 3rd an 1
Lot to prove. Guys here loved his recruiting before and the line still sucked
