Paid 42% tax rate in Sweden, got free health care, free full time childcare (8:30am to 4pm), and $100 a month unlimited metro card.

US I get taxed 28% and get toll roads

I get taxed a lot more than 28% and still get toll roads.
    Bullshit. No you don’t.
I'm really disappointed in you ladies. This is one of your favorite subjects, that we're not taxed enough. Did your booster shot have some side effects?
There is zero chance any of you gals pays 28% of your income in taxes. Basic math fail.
Is there a chance that you missed the point of the discussion?
You don’t want to pay European tax rates and you don’t receive European benefits. You especially don’t want me paying European rates . . . ‘cuz socialism, of course.
Why do you think we just need more taxes?
Because the money is already spent.
So you agree that more taxes is a stupid idea.
Sure. You’ll all turn down your entitlements for the common good, right?
    Still missing the point.

The point is that despite the US having high taxes, there are less benefits. Would you pay more for a product that was of inferior quality? Thought you were a bidnessman.

High taxes? Counter factual. Most of you have an effective tax rate below (if not well below) 20%.

If they would have let me opted out of that fucking Ponzi scheme as late as my 50th birthday I would have gladly opted out of SS. Got my SS statement in the mail the other day it lists how mine and my employer's money they've been stealing from us since the beginning of my work years. I'd easily have additional millions in retirement funds if they would have put the money in a simple index fund.

What kind of a dumbfuck falls for that?

We're going to get $3.5 Trillion in bike paths, light rail, electric charging stations in the middle of nowhere and more money for California's high speed rail fraud.

The wealthy are paying the income taxes they are required to pay. The vast majority of income is being reported on W-2s and 1099s. The top 10% are paying 70% of the federal income taxes. Wealthy people come up with some semi-bogus deductions but they don't add up to much. Like putting the wife and kids on the corporate board and then having the annual meeting in Hawaii or Aspen. Put the right paperwork together and there is no way you lose the deductions. Just like doctors or attorneys taking continuing education in Hawaii.

There is a lot of not reported income from the underground economy. Good luck getting money from the cartel or Hispanic landscapers. The dems want lots more IRS agents for reasons having nothing to do with revenue. If you think that the IRS won't chase conservatives as their prime mission you are ignorant or lying or both. Just look at Trump, Tucker Carlson and James O'Keefe.

If you invested $100 in the S&P 500 at the beginning of 1980, you would have about $11,675.29 at the beginning of 2021, assuming you reinvested all dividends. This is a return on investment of 11,575.29%, or 12.10% per year.

Now add up every dollar you've paid into SS along with your employer's contribution and then do the math providing for compound interest. Even a middle class person would have millions in retirement and you'd also be holding a tangible asset you could give to your family when you died.

Now think about what you could do about encouraging home ownership if you allowed people to use that money for a first time home purchase. What would happen if you did the exact same thing for healthcare? Make people invest a small percentage of their earning in a simple index fund when they are young and healthy and then let them build that for their entire working life.

But that's not the system that Dazzler and the leeches he votes for wants. That system wouldn't encourage dependency on the government. That system would encourage people to be in favor of a healthy fiscal and investment climate that would encourage growth.
