The reason it's relevant is that Lake lost his cool. He took a swing and hit a player on national TV. Actually in high school our coach left not long after similar situation. College is different but it's still pretty bad, how obvious it was.
I'll laugh if that gets him fired, but this is some soft shit to care about.
True but the context .. practice would be ok. But national TV? He will probably make some mea culpa about anger and face some mild censure. Still it will be remembered and be a factor.
