Days like this are the only tim I wish I had Twatter. I am sure all kinds of good election shit is going down but I can't see any of it unless it's posted here. I have to wait for the stupid Fox Election tracker stories and injects. Lame.

I heard they are saying McAuliffe was up 300K with mail in so I am sure they have their fingers on the trigger to wrap this baby up for Terry.Bob_C said:Has Fox called it for Mcauillife yet?

Where is the GOP or Youngkins campaign? Judge is right that tax group does lack standing but why are they suing instead of Youngkin? These ballots obviously violate the law but again the GOP is asleep at the wheel. We make it so easy for the Dems to cheat because we never try to stop them. Keystone cops GOP.Sledog said: -

Good sign. USA Today doing the reporting. For those that don't know the Shenandoah Valley is a very conservative spot in the state. If the rural rednecks finally turn out huge Terry the Turd is in trouble.
Turnout high in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley
At one precinct in Augusta County, Virginia, chief election officer Lesley Piner said she had to ask the county for more ballots before lunchtime, having run out by 11 a.m.
Piner said the county only gave the precinct about 300 ballots for the day. They had surpassed that before noon.
"We've been very steady ... more than I expected," she said.
About 50 people in the precinct opted to vote early and more than 300 out of a total of 1,000 registered voters had voted in the morning — a number that shocked Piner.
"Normally, I would have thought we'd have 350 people for the entire day," she said. "We're going to surpass that, and it's not even noon." -

Like most of the country, urban = blue, non-urban = red. VA blue is DC suburbs, Richmond, Norfolk/VA Beach/Hampton Roads/Williamsburg, and Charlottesville. Everything else is red.
What do you guys think, should I go vote? -

Seems like the explosion of the federal government has done more to turn Virginia blue than anything
You should vote early and often as always.

Depends. If you want to vote for Youngkin, yes. If you want to vote for McAuliffe, get high instead and think about voting.whlinder said:

@Swaye stop lying about your Youngkin support. With a gubernatorial candidate named Princess on the ballot from the “LP” party, which I can only assume stands for Lemon Party, you know damn well that’s who you picked. As did I. How can you not?

Hmmmmm... I've attributed it toward demographic shifts in NoVA which have brought in more non-native born voters who have tended to be D. I suppose they are drawn here by the Fed explosion which has created plenty of jobs, which has happened with both parties in power (they just argue over what to excessively spend on).RaceBannon said:

Democrats are more likely to choose a government career. Stats are closer than you think according to a quick search but once people are lined up at the trough....
Virginia has a county richer than Beverly Hills. Demographics have definitely changed -

Seriously tho, there is a separation between government career and government contracting career. The military/security-industrial complex and just gov IT contracting complex is real.
The government civil servant is blue and works for Health and Human services or the Dept of Education or the Smithsonian or whatever and lives in DC/Alexandria/Arlington.
The C-level and sales guys for the Contracting complex lives in Loudoun and print dollars and vote red. The IT guys they depend on just got off the boat and also live in Loudoun and vote blue. (Though usually the second generation well-off immigrants turn red)
Seriously, the amount of money in some of this is just nuts, but it's what drives the "high-income in the cuntry" stats.
It is what it is. My private sector career with zero government influence (for realz, my job could be done anywhere) straddles the two, though since we're IT we have similar views as the IT contracting complex.
