lunatic fringe is a great band name.

Yes!
Who cares about wins?
We value diversity. -
Wilner can eat a bag of dicks.

The lunatic fringe are the ones who want to keep Jimmy. It's pretty unified at this point.

But where do you think things stand at this point?HuskyClaws said:At this point, the lunatic fringe are the ones who want to keep Jimmy. It's pretty unified at this point.

Thing is at this point the reasoning to move on from Jimmy is far from lunatic … you can very easily write up a comprehensive analysis of all the ways Jimmy is failing
Simply put, there’s really not any metric out there that suggests that Jimmy has a legit chance at turning this around -
Imagine flexing about winning Covid year and then sitting out the championship game while cheering on your rival. Some might call that lunatic fringe

The problem with Wilner’s take is that he’s saying we aren’t all that talented this year. Jimmy Lake is about to miss a bowl game with a team that has a 40+% blue chip ratio. On paper, we have the talent.
So if that talent isn’t producing, whose fault is that? If all of our hires are either no names, internal promotions, or alumni, whose fault is that? If we are bad now and Wilner says no second year coach should be fired, doesn’t that mean there be some hope for the future? What is that hope? What has happened over the last 19 months that makes us think this is redeemable with the current regime in charge?
In short, FYFMFE -
The staff and AD want everyone to know how young we are. It’s the players fault. And when ppl started to figure out they were blaming the players they changed the narrative to it being the fans fault.EastCoastDoog said:The problem with Wilner’s take is that he’s saying we aren’t all that talented this year. “And because you don't fire a 2nd year coach after 1 bad year unless there are legal/NCAA issues”
So his second, of two, reasons you don’t fire a coach after his second year is because you don’t do it?
Seems like he ran out of reasons pretty quickly.
