Visited this past April with the family. Had not stopped to see on previous trips but felt it was important for the kids to experience. Survived our weeklong whirlwind trip to Dallas/FW, Waco (shithole), SA and Houston. Did a lot of the things visitors do in each of these cities. Spent a lot of time around non-family members. We like Texas.PurpleThrobber said:RaceBannon said:

Yup went directly into the den of the unvaxxed/unmasked and all I got was a damn cold. Even got tested for the Vid just to be sure. Negatory. Mask usage about 50/50. Didn't ask any strangers for their vaxxxx status. I'm not a Nazi.
Apologies and condolences to anyone living in Waco poasting or just reading. You know I speak the truth. -
Waco is a motherfucking dump. Drove however the fuck long from Austin to Chip and Joanna’s Magnolia place. Same crap one can buy at Target.46XiJCAB said:

That town makes Moses Lake look downright cosmopolitan.

Only went there to visit a family member. Mag P was the obvious rendezvous. Fam got mad I called it a shithole. Would not apologize. Then fam member confirmed it was. Good times! Target price X5. That old joke, what's worse than spending a Friday night in Waco? Saturday. So true. Baylor is a dump.PurpleThrobber said:

Isn't this what @BearsWiin was pushing?jecornel said:None of this was about public health. Simply a power and control grab.
A close friend lost two people in their extended 70's with comorbidities. Hospital refused to treat with Vitamin C drip and Ivermectin based on internal protocol. Both died alone. Would not allow spouse visitation. The hospital did honor one request of the family and that was not to treat with Remdesivir which kills people. Fauci of course pushes Remdesivir.
Here is a trial Remdisivir was used for Ebola. It was pulled halfway through the study.

Remdesivir study on Covid. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.10.15.20209817v1
HCQ is in there but they later learned the dosing was incorrect. HCQ is an effective treatment. -

There is little to no data on the amount of cases amongst the vaxxed and unvaxxed that DONT lead to Hospitalization. Only breakdowns of those that were hospitalized. And many if not most hospitals test any admitted patients. And if they are admitted for something unrelated to covid but test positive for covid, they are a Covid Hospitalization.Tequilla said:

The reason to get vaccinated to me resides in the data around positive cases that head to hospitalizations, ICUs, and worse.
Anybody that thinks that COVID is just going to vanish is likely fooling themselves
Doesn’t it seem funny to you that we are able to ramrod a vaccine through but here 19 months later, there is few APPROVED effective therapies?
When there is study after study that prove cheap off label therapies are incredibly effective in early stages? -
This is the stuff that bothers me but I realize I’m inclined to think logically and constantly ask whyKaepsknee said:

The genie is out of the bottle with COVID … it ain’t going to just flat vanish regardless of vaccination … there’s just not data out there that I’ve seen that suggests that
So to me all the focus should be tied to 1) how do you minimize symptoms and 2) how do you treat bad symptoms to avoid the worst of the outcomes
This to me in various forms is a substitution of the flu but more contagious with potentially worse outcomes … it just is what it is
