The Throbber needs to see/hear Mabel's side of this.
Preferably Mable's backside.

I feel special - I posted a pix that the throbber is obviously throbbing to

getting ready to register the vehicles in Texas - and this plate is available
-
preview of coming attractions, two more nights is east Arizona, then a 17 day trip thru New Mexico sneaking on in to Texas.
Have no idea where but will start looking for a 3 month stay somewhere I am sure there will be tornados, hurricanes, flooding, bugs, and gators.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQiOA7euaYA

Rolled into New Mexico the other day, if you have ever seen Lordsburg you would never want to see it again. That place looks so depressed. We turned off the freeway at Motel Road or something similar to that and every business was boarded up and in shambles. Sorry no pictures.
New Mexico should put some money into that place just so it is not an eyesore to all who enter into the state. As soon as we crossed into NM speed limit dropped to 55 due to dust storms, it is high desert with what looked like absolutely nothing growing. It all looked dead.
Dust storm off in distance never bother us - it was luckily way off in the distance - looks more like haze than dust but I will trust the government to tell the truth about the dust storm wink wink
Leaving Lordsburg area was a long steady climb up into the hills and finally got into some nice areas again. Guess I am not a barren desert fan. Geez can't wait till I get to west Texas, why the hell do the relatives live there?
Coming into Silver City is one of two open copper mines - should be Copper City. - this puppy is ugly it just popped up as we came over a ridge.
Silver City was a pleasant surprise, the camp ground is isolated and quiet as can be - this is our neighboring property
and the actual site we are staying at is large with no one near us.

Getting ready to vacate the Silver City area and head to Alamogordo, NM tomorrow. Since we are in the land of the flaming assholes we had to find a good Mexican restaurant - so many to chose from how does one pick -
Well this was posted in the entrance door along with them explaining that they are having trouble keeping staff.
Kind of made the decision easier and no I am not taking it to the exTug.
The food was great carnitas tacos with a Chile verde salsa and that my friends is how they got the name Land of the Flaming Assholes. I won't need a colonoscopy this year. -
Found a town in New Mexico that I did not want to see

And Burns is one of them. -
Better get it before Damone orders it and slaps it on EBay.LebamDawg said:getting ready to register the vehicles in Texas - and this plate is available

snuck into Texas the back way thru Eunice - no pics of her
and for those of you who think Texas is flat, here is the sun going down over Arizona as viewed from Odessa, Tx
-
beginning an eastward trek tomorrow but had to give the fans of Friday Night Lights a farewell from Odessa
I think they have 24/7 surveillance on this place
MrsIAmNotinLebam cousin's better half bro is the guy that played the coach on the show. When I met him he was kind of down playing his acting and stuff and all the relatives are mentioning it to me, bragging about their relative, until I broke it to them that I have never seen the show. Stuck a pin in their balloon. They still talk to me... that was years ago and I still have not seen the show. -
camped out in central Texas beginning of hill country - one thing I noticed and the relatives were laughing about it also, was the wind turbines. Texas is very conservative but just like every place else, the folks that run the local politics are the folks that love control. Thus the local municipalities try to implement covid restrictions and go along with Washington, DC politics. Heading east out of San Angelo we ran into a wind turbine forest
it went on for miles, the relatives were laughing because last winter they all froze up. As we continued on those damn things were creeping in on us - it was a sneak attack from the flank but I was cruising and escaped in time
86 degrees today
-
Finally made our winter (at least a month anyway) location of Coldspring, Tx and the weather caught up to us. Was out and about checking out the area when it started raining. When it rains in Texas just north of the Gulf Coast it rains.
Was 70 deg and 110% humidity. Tornado warnings just south of us, flood warnings near us, lightning strikes every where.
I had left the windows open next to the bed and spent all afternoon drying the mattress out.
this is the view looking out the window at 11AM shortly after we got home - good close up of rain drops is about all I got
-
You’re in the shit as fuck weather part of the country. Good luck the rest of the way.
-
Can we get to the part where Mabel finally puts out?

Officially a Texan, at least in paper.
and soon to be on the move again. paid up at this place thru the 16th but damn I do not see how anyone lives in the Houston area. Daytime temps in the 70-84 range and 90% humidity then cooling down to 68-73 degrees at night - Shit it is the sound of an air conditioner going all day and night long. We are going 158 miles north to Tyler, Tx where supposedly it gets down into the 40's and 50's at night.
I think my wife and I both are getting antsy to be traveling again, I told her we could be just hopping around various places in the South all winter if she wants. I know we are not going to be here in the summer. ever. not going to happen.
